This is what Denis Villeneuve was referring too when he said he hates dialogue and only cares about the powerful images on the screen.

Slightly underwhelming and doesn’t get really fun until the final act— at which point it becomes a riotous kaiju bar fight (complimentary). Crumbling cities and monsters performing WWE movies is why we sign up for these movies and it’s why the movie ultimately ends on a high note. But once again, here is another Monsterverse movie that is buckling under the weight of its own convoluted story. There’s zero trust in the audience, so the first hour is a hand holding expository snooze fest. Falls into to the trap of treating titans as expendable rather than letting the audience bask in the awe of something new and powerful— if this is the plan for next few movies, it’s a sign to be concerned. Plus they didn’t even kiss at the end, so what are we even doing here. Podcast Ep. 166- Godzilla x Kong

i have nothing good to say except when godzilla curled up like a kitty cat. this coming out right after minus one was maybe the worst thing they could’ve done to make it look good. what are you more excited for, hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby

imma be honest, they completely ruined the immersive feeling of how giant the kaijus used to be, now they’re all so agile and feel so small, not my favorite sadly

Que la trama empiece porque a Kong le duele la muela… 🚬 Neta de las mejores películas de Kaijus. Entretenida y despreocupada. Buenos vergazos

nangisin kong yang ngerasa sendirian di dunianya dan ngira kalo cuma dia makhluk satu-satunya, tapi pas ketemu spesies kong lainnya. dia udah gak ngerasa kesepian lagi, and i’m so proud of him akhirnya dia ada temennya. apalagi ekspresinya dari yang awalnya dia kek masih gak percaya, tapi perlahan dia udah sadar bahwa he’s not alone anymore. dia akhirnya punya tempat di mana dia gak perlu ngerasa makhluk terakhir dari dunianya sendiri.🥹❤️ but anyway mau ngebahas godzilla juga karena jujurlah.. gue…

Everything somehow got worse from the last Godzilla vs Kong movie. All the dialogue and music was even worse and ill fitting and the story was very disjointed. At least there were more monsters and dinosaurs

“Saving the world is kind of our thing” This is by far the most comic book-y and cartoonish that this franchise has gone. For better or for worse. There is simply very little substance to the story at this point. It’s all about the action. The action remains good and fun, thankfully. That’s all there really is to look forward to as things stand. In that regard, it is definitely a fun watch.

Not great. Didn’t like pink Godzilla and how he was so nimble and quick. Bad characters and boring character development. Worst monsterverse film by far.

I am pretty sure I’ve never seen any of these other movies – Kong or Godzilla or their collab series. I had an amazing time. Opening with “Somewhere in the Hollow Earth” is so strong for someone who doesn’t know anything about these films – sure, right, the Hollow Earth, we all know about that. I liked Kong right away – he is my friend. He showers and he has a face that looks kind. This is why people get…

I did not expect frostbite to be the reason Kong got his fisto glove. Also this is basically an animated giant planet of the apes movie with Godzilla as a background character

Hollywood blockbuster Godzilla film with awful writing. I mean cmon. The concept had so much potential but just fell flat on its face.

this was cool lowkey the plot was like short lived but the visuals were super cool and godzilla is just tuff i love that he sleeps in the colloseum glory to west helm when godzilla and kong fight it’s like ish and saps he’s like “couldn’t say no to a friend” and then they realize there is a common enemy. i wish that happened and then those two teamed up on ish
