A beautiful, inspiring poem of a film. Some say it is not as good as CITIZEN KANE. To that I say CITIZEN KANE does not feature the word “funderwear.”

“You know I like my dessert first.” Action masterpiece. Shockingly gruesome for the franchise. We are so engrossed we’re watching the extras. Gag reel has a lot of stuff on it that The Rock will probably have to apologize for in two years. Great segment where Tyrese bothers all of his coworkers for 6 minutes. Sorry, not great– what’s the word? “Bad.”

Not a mistake; rewatched this in full for the second time today. Crazy to say, but there’s too big of a chunk in the middle with no action sequences. Wish we saw the race where Dom wins his car. And also maybe another race! They switched that out for Hobbs doing a bunch of extrajudicial murders! Highlight of this movie– and the reason I think it’s such a fav– is bringing in the other characters as a team. That’s the move that fully switches up the franchise from being a street racing action series to a contemporary Western, blended with the elements that make this their attempt at a stateside spy franchise. I think I could write a thousand words…

WILDLY entertaining and the first movie in the series to truly stand out. a clean heist film with cars going vroom vroom instead of cop shenanigans and needlessly confusing plots. almost every line from vin made me scream and the rock is SO sweaty and SO angry. it’s clear by this point they finally found their footing and started embracing that slick over the top action while also weaving in the most poignant storyline yet, and as a result i was finally invested. before they were just goofy beefcakes racing cars, but now they’re a family of goofy beefcakes racing cars. i would even consider recommending this one as a standalone because it’s so much fun edit: i CAN’T get over the “fast” and “five” sharing the F in the poster and title sequence. i love it here

Way too much bald power between vin diesel and the rock for one film. It did perplex me that the rock was constantly dripping with sweat where as vin never sweats a drop

Not a bad movie by any means, but the introduction of the Rock was the start of the major decline of this franchise. From here, everything just gets dumber and more unrealistic as they continue to pump these out.

While this is by no means the best f&f movie, it’s undeniably the climax. The entirety of the vault scene is unrealistic and the plot has already strayed so far away from cars. Theres no denying it. BUT, this movie is the last remotely realistic and tolerable movie without rolling your eyes 50 times.

The one thing that’s consistent in the fast franchise- Family. Once that word is dropped, no one is safe.

I think this is actually where the film started to kinda begin the downward spiral of the unrealistic/action-packed approach of the fast and furious movie saga and although the getaway scene with the bank vault and the 2 chargers isn’t THAT UNREALISTIC, it’s pretty safe to say that it isn’t normal or realistic as well. It’s definitely possible but just not something you would see and that’s why I think this film isn’t as strong as its prequels HOWEVER, the…

Top 2 Fast and Furious movie of all time for me. It’s also one of my most rewatchable movies of all time for me. I would give anything to have the last Fast and Furious movie be half as good as this one.

The series transitions from a focus on cars and street racing to more traditional heist capers (though cars are still very relevant), with generally good results. The special effects and stunt work are quite good; the premises for many of the stunts are outrageous, but that’s broadly true of this genre. The action flows at a steady pace, and while there aren’t any particularly unique curve balls or storylines, it’s sufficiently well-crafted and executed to be a lot of fun…
