Exacto, lo estoy viendo a mitad agosto – nunca es tarde para el espíritu navideño. Pero, desgraciadamente, por mucho que me reí en algunas partes y por mucho que derretió mi corazón el subplot de la niña en el hospital (clínica? Centro de salud?), aveces la película hacia too much. Mucha vergüenza ajena, demasiada, diría yo. Quizás es porque no la vi de pequeña y por ello no tengo esa nostalgia de la cual todos disfrutan al volver a verla. Sin embargo, me encantó la parte con la canción “Whoomp there it is” 🙏

Well, he’s dressed like everybody else for the season and assumed he was a new hire. My favorite scenes are 1) the snowball scene (“We can take ’em.” “Where did you say you were from?”) and 2) when Jovie gets up to sing (“the best way to spread Christmas cheer is to sing nice and loud for all to hear.” “Come to Papa!”

Probably my favorite of the big Christmas movies, if we don’t count Charlie Brown or The Nightmare Before Christmas or Die Hard. Even then this movie has something of a personality-less Facebook mom stench upon it, though I shouldn’t blame the movie itself for that. I like how much of a regular dude Ed Asner’s Santa Claus is in this movie.
