How can you not love something so light and stupid? I always forget Scarlet Johansson is in this one fending off male advances with a taser. Also, who doesn’t love David Arquette. The movie is a whole lot of fun. I mean there are points where the spiders scream before exploding. So much action. Goofy in the best possible way. Love it.

Surprise surprise, Logan Huntzberger is a bad boyfriend in this movie too. I hate Logan Huntzberger. Team Jess forever. (This will only make sense to a small portion of people, but for those people, it’s a very important matter. I would die for Jess)

This scared the shit out of me as a kid. My dad took me to see it, and I spent years convinced every jumping spider was plotting against me. Watching it now, it’s just ridiculously fun. I like that the spiders actually work together. I also always remember this as the movie where Scarlett Johansson tasering some guy in the crotch.

I was way too drunk🍷to fully recall this movie but I’m remembering a scene where giant jumping spiders chase dirt bikers🕷️🏍️. A movie where Deputy Dewey & little ScarJo fight massive spiders🤜🏻 could never disappoint me. The spiders in this looks like old video game graphics and I was still terrified of them😭. Why they gotta be so hairy🕸️? Still from what I remember it’s still pretty campy fun🤪.

Birthday bash Another January 11th, another birthday that I am using as an excuse to go through some cinematic memory lane. And this year I don’t have any crazy stories but some childhood bangers. Am I rating this probably higher than it should be? Perhaps. But man, this was a blast! Camp done excellently. Everyone does a fantastic job capturing the tone, delivering on the fantastic tongue and cheek, all while never forgetting they are in a horror film and being attacked by gigantic spiders who don’t look that bad at all. Doug E. Doug, especially, is so memorable and hysterical as the conspirative guy. The writing and every set piece, whether it’s the motocross attack, the mall scene, or…

Everything I know about spiders came from this movie. I’m sure it’s scientifically accurate, spiders can roar right?

“They’re spiders from Mars” An outrageously fun and stupidly absurd experience. What’s not to enjoy about hilariously oversized spiders wreaking havoc on a whole town? It’s a cult favourite that I haven’t watched in ages, but I’m pleased to say it’s still incredibly entertaining.

I’ve had fond memories of this since it came out as a kid. It still holds up with how daft it is. Just that poor cat. Love this film.

Is it amazing film? No Is it wacky and fun? Hell yes, it’s both a trashy treasure and guilty pleasure of mine. A perfect classic 1950s sci-fi horror with a mix of Tremors and Gremlins. The cast is great, the plot is stupidly great, the humor is decent enough, the special effects are somewhat good and the brutality is disgustingly brilliant. I gave it a cat fist fighting with a mutated arachnid inside of house’s drywall out of five.

Funny but a horrible movie all around. Also the producer has a mannequin fetish.

What a bunch of nothing! But I liked the leaping bouncing bounding spiders. Typical creature feature .. except the abducted cat has the same name as my own cat , which has caused great tension between me and this moviefilm.

Really good! Got some good character moments alongside the silly stuff and the effects still decently hold up but it’s just a great fun film. Love that the score is a big dramatic version of Incy Wincy Spider at times, that was a fun addition.

the fact a spider came into our room and stayed the whole duration of the movie then disappeared when the credits started to roll is oddly disturbing… …hope it wasn’t taking notes

Mainly made for kids rather than the whole family, but it gets fun once the giant spiders are unleashed. David Arquette is adorable as always, and the kitchen fight scene with Zeke the cat is completely hilarious!

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this and maybe it was on the Syfy channel? This is definitely a B-type monster movie, but it’s still fun! I love that the spiders have personalities and emote, and I guess they even have voices? It’s kinda similar to the Mogwai in Gremlins, and it adds a bit of humor to the spiders. David Arquette has such a charismatic but goofy and expressive face, and his reactions made me laugh a good amount in this.
