Actually one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. This is such a tightly written movie that is just littered with a joke every second and it’s amazing. I forgot how good this movie was and I’m glad I rewatched it cuz this is peak comedy at times. The animation and character designs are also pretty good, especially flints dad, that is peak character design. I also forgot how many memes come from this movie, like with officer…

Dont know how i didnt get to see this as a child, practically everyone has seen it and is basically a staple on the internet. Finally decided to watch it and I get the hype. Its super unique, i mean you dont hear this kinda plot everyday. The characters are all likeable and very well fleshed out, the humor is great but you can tell this was made in the 2000s sometimes. Good stuff.

What if I wrote like an essay… or a treatise on recession cinema cause like…? There’s ideas there. Like, THIS especially is such a poignant recession metaphor…. Where’s my typewriter? Also I loved this when I first saw this, but low-key this feels like a genesis point for a lot of the things that piss me off about modern animation (a format I famously hate (#exaggeration #nottrue) because i lack whimsy (I do)) Yknow what. We need to be more…

It’s a ridiculous movie. One of the most ridiculous and stupid concepts I’ve seen, with a childish world that shames nerds for their interests, way into their adulthood. Some adults might be like that, but this was ridiculously exaggerated. That doesn’t mean I hate the movie though, it’s very fucking good for what it has to work with. A big heart, themes that aged well, a fair share of sweet moments, a decently developed romance, a solid main character to…

Maybe one of the scariest films I’ve ever seen. It’s honestly so scary. And there are no cute animals? I guess that’s the second movie and im remembering incorrectly. I’m so disturbed and terrified. Wouldn’t recommend. It has an important message but as someone who is very scared of overconsumption I am unhappy. This was ahead of its time, though. This message is so unbelievably relevant now and this came out in 2009. But I will be having nightmares tonight. Be warned. This is like Wall-E levels of scary. But my preschool art teacher wrote the book. So.

Peak. Maybe my favorite movie as a kid, and it’s still really entertaining, and makes me laugh every time. The animation is pretty awesome too. Lots of great messages throughout while not taking itself too seriously. So many baller characters – Baby Brent, Steve, Mr. Lockwood, Officer Earl. Voice cast bangs too.
