    this was so terrible, i don’t even know where to start. the characters resemble the tropes you normally see written by teenagers in fanfictions: law’s character is the classic quirky writer, self-insert male lead, and portman is his manic pixie wet dream. i will refer to the other two characters as the other two, because they exist solely to round off the awkward love square that the film is centered on, and have no other attributes to speak of. love at first sight is a very prevalent theme in this film. you will know the characters are in love when they caress each others faces on their first meeting. this happens often. the writers are also very liberal with ‘deep…

    un dia mas en un planeta de tios. la unica persona que sale “ganando” en esta pelicula es el personaje de natalie, nunca confies en un hombre. ya fuera de bromas, la pelicula me parece increible, el guion es ok 6/10, pero la manera en la que se desarrolla la narrativa me flipa aunque haya sido algo confusa al principio (es rara la timeline). el personaje de natalie mi favorito sin duda, los demas son todos imbeciles y merecen que los cuezan vivos mañana. fatal.

    This movie is quite remarkable in its uniqueness, tragedy, and complexity. Adapted from a brilliantly written British play of the same name, Closer examines four truly broken individuals that find comfort and turmoil by way of intermingled relationships of lies, love, and lust. Natalie Portman deserved the Oscar here. But in truth, all four of these actors deliver knock out performances. Jude Law, Julia Roberts, Clive Owens, and Portman take a terrific script and bring it to life embracing each of their characters to their fullest extent. Legit thought this was a rom-com before watching and now I feel depressed. Rom-dram it is, but wonderful nonetheless.
