I’m generally a fan of musicals. And even though “Chicago” is less well known in Austria than the big Andrew Lloyd Webber classics, I found most of the songs very catchy. I also found the way the film uses separate musical numbers running parallel to the actual story interesting and quite creative. my god es PERFECTA! Me dio muchas vibes de The Life of a Showgirl de Taylor Swift, por la ropa y la estética. Es un musical perfecto, al principio no sabía que iba a ser del todo musical pero las canciones iban mejorando poco a poco. Sin duda, mi escena favorita fue cuando todas contaban porque estaban en la cárcel mientras bailaban y cantaban, eso sí que es un buen musical y cine. Tbh se me hizo un poquito larga…

Between “Mr. Cellophane,” “Cell Block Tango,” “We Both Reached for the Gun,” and of course Catherine Zeta-Jones… I just love watching women murder men for absolutely comprehensible reasons.

It was only a matter of time for another musical to burst onto the list. I’m certainly not as passionate about it as everyone else but I think the sleazy dark-mode production design and imaginative numbers do a lot of legwork for me. Also helps that Zeta-Jones looks like that in a bob. Great music!

Film chicago pozytywnie mnie zaskoczył. Do tej pory nie miałam wiele doświadczenia z filmami, lecz miałam pewną opinię na temat musicali. Chicago to zmieniło. Podczas oglądania tylko czekałam na następne piosenki i byłabym szczęśliwa gdybym miała obejrzec go ponownie. Moje życie wydaje się teraz niepełne – po każdym ważnym wydarzeniu chciałabym śpiewać na scenie, niestety to tylko marzenia.

Gag it It being the American justice system Loved all the musical numbers and high fantasy at play. They were all so rich and meaningful to the story, a musical masterclass. Only thing I didn’t care for was the John C Riley character. He just felt out of place in this world and I found his scenes to be the least interesting. Renee Zellweger I get it now. Catherine Zeta Jones I get it again. So goated.

Um espetáculo mesmo, em todos os sentidos. Como esse filme é contagiante, as músicas não saem da cabeça e são interpretadas por um elenco sensacional em números inventivos de encher os olhos. Direção e montagem brilhantes ao enfatizarem toda a energia que há no filme, das luzes ao figurino, da coreografia à cenografia, tá tudo em constante movimento. Ao dar pra cada personagem o holofote e um número memorável, o filme emula o ciclo de notícias da imprensa sensacionalista – todos têm seus 15 minutos de fama, depois partimos pro próximo crime.
