I’ve seen this movie maybe 4 times now and I don’t understand what the hell is going on for most of it. Love it all the same! Perfect introduction for Craig. Easily the best of the Craig Bonds (though Skyfall is beautiful enough to come close.) Eva Green is the core of this movie and she doesn’t come in until 58:11. Wild.

So incredible. The first hour of this film is unreal, if you ever wonder why many action adventure movies feel empty or less engaging it’s because the craftsmanship that makes this film so rich is completely absent. The way they move the camera, the way they move the STORY! The first hour being incredibly action-packed and then transitioning into A POKER GAME while maintaining the tension and suavity is unbelievable. I love this movie. (The love story is a bit forced at the end, but it’s for a big reveal, so still, 5 Stars.)

One of my favorite bond films so far and by far the most action packed, bonds chemistry with vesper feels effortless and the tense poker scenes with le chiffre were the standout, while Craig plays his bond too serious for my taste most of the time for my taste, the torture scene ironically added a much needed bit of comedy, overall bond displays his regular air of charisma and it is stylish from start to finish.

Brilliant. For a new, comeback if you will, Bond film, this is outstanding. You get to see so much of Bond’s character as well his raw ability as an agent as well as a poker player. Le Chiffre is a great villain and the second best of Craig’s reign, to all in all make a great action thriller movie, which feels excellently paced throughout, in a tight, pulsating manner.

Somehow has some of the best onscreen romantic chemistry I’ve ever seen while also still being an incredible action story. Best scene for me was the torture scene, where Craig’s acting range really shows up- the internal desperation vs the tough exterior. The greatness lies in the simple plot and the emotional depth, two rare achievements for similar action movies.
