It moves with breakneck pacing and isn’t that emotionally grabbing to me personally but its a good movie and fun to look at it. I could understand why someone would like this a lot. Nothing about this movie is my vibe and I still enjoyed watching. I feel that often with musicals or musical-adjacent films I don’t care much for the singing but always enjoy seeing the practical effects and costumes, and this definitely supports that idea. Costumes were great and really cool and reminded me a lot of gaga. Stage props and light blings were fun.

J’adore ce film, vraiment, mais j’ai grandi et je vois plus ses défauts. Déjà, bon l’histoire est absolument pas originale. Ensuite on sent le mâle gaze qui est bien là quand il y a un gros plan sur ses fesses, nan merci enfaite. Et puis les blagues pas drôles sur les Drag Queen on s’en serait passé. Après bien-sûr dès que Christina Aguilera commence à chanter le film devient beaucoup plus intéressant. Mais par contre, désolé mais si Quinn Fabray est ma fiancée je ne drague personne d’autre.

This got me off my ass alright. This premise of a small-town midwest gal leaving her old life behind to make a big name for herself in the big city, with some home-wrecking on the side, hits a spot in my Fighter heart. Stanley Tucci stays being the flamboyant gay, yet questionably straight side kick to the matriarchal figurehead of the plot. Speaking of which, Cher was a whole mood the entire time and her weird side plot solo was kinda “here you go damn,” I can’t help but Stan. Side note: Cam Gigandet looked less scary and alien in this. Almost alluring.

So good. I absolutely loved the whole vibe of this movie. The performances are amazing and Cher and Christina Aguilera are both incredible. The songs and dance numbers are so entertaining and the costumes and visuals are gorgeous. The story is simple but it works perfectly for this kind of movie. It is glamorous, fun and full of energy. Such a good movie.
