The title doesn’t exactly deliver on its promise, and when it does its for a very brief time. Film 17/90 of⛄🗑️A Bulbous Blizzard of Wintery, Slippery, Slimy Trash 2024/25 Watch any horror movie rated 2 stars or less on Letterboxd. However, that doesn’t stop the film from having a lot of fun with the tools its playing with, by throwing a bunch of unexpected tools like a legion of big game hunters after one snake, an above-average amount of nudity and horniness for this sort-of-thing (even the snakes get in on the action with each other and in the film’s best scene involving a car makeout session), an FBI agent played to just the right wavelength of serious yet engaging…

Its got plenty of action, nudity, guns, snakes, and plot devices, but lacks in script, plot, and sense. The scene with the python and the lovers in the station wagon is priceless and thoroughly laugh-inducing. Angel Boris is easy on the eyes and has a great bath tub scene. Full nudity is always a plus in films like these. There is more nudity in this one than is usually included in similar films. The snakes never actually fight until the last 10 minutes, but the showdown is kind of cool, although brief. If you like crappy giant snake movies, you’ll enjoy this one.

Boa vs. Python is another DTV creature feature staple from my childhood, and honestly, I’m not sure why I’m rewatching all these—probably a mix of insomnia and stumbling across old DVD titles. As I’ve said before, I’ve got a soft spot for this kind of movie, and while it’s far from good by any objective measure, there’s still some entertainment value to be had if you’re into this very specific flavor.

The Phillip J. Roth produced Python franchise comes to a close with its forth entry, Boa vs. Python, with this UFO International production going full Bulgarian. It’s kind of sleazy – predatory camera angles whenever a female is on screen, gross sex jokes, lame innuendo. Bizarre low angle compositions make for a lot of up nose shots, highlighting the majority of the men’s double chins – while the ADR is all over the place in giving the locals convincing English. Multiple appearances of the Stars & Stripes make for an Eastern European effort that feels like it’s really overcompensating. The plot sees big game hunters importing a giant python for sport, only for it to escape on the outskirts of Phillidelphia.…

what is the greatest scene in film history? the climax of se7en? the italian restaurant in the godfather? perhaps the shower scene from psycho? no. an 80 ft python performs oral sex on a girl in a car moments after devouring her boyfriend. she fails to notice the switcheroo. we’re lucky to live in a time where we can specifically pinpoint the moment art peaked.

the storyline is beautiful but otherwise, aside from a few funny and involuntary moments, it remains a rather ugly animalistic trash

“This is big…. and big is nice” -Corporate Stooge, – Bad Movie Bets Ranked: boxd.it/5Q8IA Seeing snakes fight is surprisingly boring. Cheap and quickly made film with a convoluted plot. This doesn’t have the actors to support the ridiculous script nor does it possess the charm of some poorly made films. The real problem is that this film is just competent enough to lack that bad movie charm but not competent enough to be good. At least I give them credit for showing the snakes a lot, something I was predicting wouldn’t happen. This was a real slog.

Because snakes killed my grandma! This was better than I had expected, but still managed to disappoint me. There was a shocking lack of snakes fighting to the death for a movie called Boa vs. Python. It was very disappointing in that regard. I was most disappointed by the fact that the cover of the movie never happened. I don’t think the snakes ever fought in the streets, which was truly a tragedy in my opinion. That being said, I thought the news reporter was funny and the CGI snakes were honestly pretty cool. I wish they could’ve been practical, but I still liked them.

The beginning was somewhat more lively, and the music was decent at times, but the worst part is the story. It’s often confusing—I sometimes had no idea what was actually going on—and overall it feels pretty messy. The film also tries to be funny, but I only laughed once. The CGI didn’t surprise me; that’s just something you expect from a B-movie. The actresses are more attractive than talented. The camera work is occasionally dynamic, but the editing is sometimes unintentionally funny. Overall, it’s watchable—I’ve definitely seen worse.

This is awful, but in the precisely right way if you, as I do, have nostalgia for the Lost Age of the SyFy Original, those trashy horror movies that emerged from the muck before the terrible Age of Asylum. I began to admire certain actors in this who were pathologically incapable of giving a good line reading, but I still celebrated their deaths by giant red or blue snakes. Although you’d think the draw to this is the terrible CG,…

Well, I learned who Jaime Bergman is so that’s a solid start. A former, let’s assume Mormon, Playboy model steals the show. This movie is shot terribly…Dutch angles all over the place. Until we get to the lovingly shot nude scenes, then suddenly every light is just right. I kinda got distracted by the bad guy’s girlfriend and how much she looked like this singer I knew early in my music days. The dudes are mostly duds. Save for Braddock…

The perfect kind of trashy film. As a gay man, I saw more tits in the past 90 minutes than I think I’ve ever seen before in my life. The continuity errors and mismatched dialogue with mouths that were clearly saying completely different lines were partially excused by just how funny and wacky this film was, complete with an epic PS2-cutscene-style finale. My review is also probably partially biased by the fact that we actually watched this on DVD, giving a certain level of enhanced drama and excitement to the whole affair.

Objectively not a good film but it’s a great time regardless. I watched this religiously on the SyFy channel as a kid so revisiting was a treat. The underwater breath share sequence is potentially the greatest scene in the film for how absurd it is, I love this kind of film. I am absolutely being affected by seeing this with rose tinted goggles but I had a great fuckin time with this one.

31 days of halloween 16/31 WHY DOES THE HERPETOLOGIST KEEP SAYING “POISONOUS” INSTEAD OF “VENOMOUS” ?!?!?!?! Eh, it’s fine. leads were likable if a bit bland. WOAH!!! THIS IS (a) MIND-BLOWING (piece of dogshit)!!! Seriously, the concept of “insert creepy giant monster or whatever similar vs. insert another monster similarly giant and creepy and whatever” is something so ridiculously awful I can’t think of the directors and producers behind these kind of things doing all of this seriously, and I mean, how can this possibly be something serious? “Boa Vs. Python” may not be exclusive to the concept of giant snake versus giant snake 2 but…

This film asks the age-old question: What if two CGI snakes had beef and everyone else was just collateral damage? The answer? A glorious mess of bad science, worse acting, and snakes with more personality than the humans. A scientist, a snake-loving FBI agent, and a boa named Betty team up to stop a rogue python released by a trophy hunter. Yes, the boa has a name. Yes, she’s the most emotionally complex character in the film. Highlights include: ✅…

Not even dumb in a fun way, the only thing more disappointing than the giant snake fights are the attempts to be sexy.
-

They fight for like 10 seconds. It tries to make actual jokes but they mostly fail miserably in my opinion. CGI is obviously bad, but to make matters worse the snake barely even shows up. Also this is just such a stupid movie idea, a creature vs creature fight where both creatures have the exact same style of fighting and a crossover movie on two extremely obscure IPs with almost no references to either of them. Just another terribly made movie that isn’t even hilariously bad.

Hard to pay attention to early 2000’s SyFy slop. The snakes are dated CG junk that doesn’t get feathered into the scene at all. The plot is dumb. Someone gets eaten out in the back of a car, doesn’t notice the felator getting eaten, and then presumably gets head from a giant snek. That was the highlight. This is dime-a-dozen fare and I feel extremely meh about it.

Plot: When big game hunters accidently release a giant python in rural Pennsylvania the government decides to use a giant boa that they have in captivity as way to track and possible kill the python. I think this movie is better than it has any right to be mostly because it doesn’t take itself to seriously and it know what we’re here for. I’ll admit, I was hesitant to watch Boa vs. Python. Expecting a low-budget disaster, I was pleasantly surprised to find it entertaining in its own right. While the film is undeniably trashy, it delivers a brand of fun that’s hard to ignore. The CGI is predictably poor, and the acting leaves much to be desired. The cinematography is equally lacking, with dark scenes and rapid cuts that make it challenging to follow the action. However, amidst the chaos, there are…

- Synopsis
- After an overly ambitious businessman transports an 80-foot python to the United States, the beast escapes and starts to leave behind a trail of human victims. An FBI agent and a snake specialist come up with a plot to combat the creature by pitting it against a bioengineered, 70-foot boa constrictor. It's two great snakes that snake great together!
