Not recognizing Orlando Bloom is a hilarious (unintentional) power move.

Thom Yorke took his teenage kid to see a Billie Eilish concert in 2019, and the story goes that the Radiohead frontman was so impressed by the bedroom pop supernova that he went backstage after the show and told her that she was “the only one doing anything fucking interesting nowadays.” (There’s some very special video of Yorke seat-dancing to “You Should See Me in a Crown” with the same twitchy abandon he moves to his own songs.) It’s hard to know exactly what he meant by that earth-shaking endorsement — even Yorke’s compliments are as serrated and Sphinx-like as his lyrics — and harder still to imagine that the legion of young fans who live and breathe Eilish’s music…

Well…wow! What a documentary! Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry is absolutely stunning. The documentary showcases her life and outstanding abilities perfectly, delving deep into her mind, creating one of the most grounded and intimate documents of a celebrity I’ve ever seen. Her bond with her family (especially Finneas O’Connell) is admirable and the way director R. J. Cutler pieces it all together, splicing monologues alongside her songs, truly allows for a transfixing watch for its entirety. The documentary as a whole feels so personal, so meaningful and is executed in such a brilliant way that I was left stunned. I honestly wasn’t prepared to like this as much as I did but it truly is a great documentary and dare I say it… one of the best I’ve ever seen. 2021 Releases Ranked

The World’s A Little Blurry is absolutely INCREDIBLE. One of the most grounded, intimate, authentic, & honest portraits of a celebrity I’ve ever seen. No BS here. The library of footage and the heartfelt moments captured is unbelievable. It truly plays out like a Linklater coming of age film. Just beautiful! One of my favorites of the year!

I love documentaries like this because I love seeing the lives of artists and the music is amazing (ofc because its billie) I thought it was a little long and “unedited” but other than that it was very good. My favorite part was when she sang “when the party’s over”.

i’ve watched this before, but seeing it again made me cry… a seventeen year old girl experiencing all of that pressure and intense fame so quickly is pretty earth shattering. the clips of people screaming and crying and following her in her car as she reaches out to them bring up conflicting emotions for me. being ordinary is a gift. and while there is a beauty and purity in people loving the art you create, there is a difference in someone loving what you create (and what you exude through what you create) than someone actually loving you. i truly wish billie the best.

The World’s A Little Blurry is an incredibly insightful look into the life of a modern pop star. And, on top of the awesome music and cool visuals, it was honestly quite surprising to see the level of vulnerability that was on full display in this movie. So massive props to Billie Eilish for deciding to let audiences see both the joys and the pains that come with the life she was blessed(?) to have. And to RJ Cutler for…

“Are you guys okay? You guys need to be okay because you’re all the reason I’m okay.” I don’t really know how to explain what Billie Eilish means to me without making it sound exaggerated, but the truth is that she has helped me through so many things. Probably more than I could ever explain. There have been moments when I genuinely had no idea what to do with myself, with my life, or with everything I was feeling, and…

My baby I cried so much turning this but it was so happy to see her happy at the end and I just love everything she does and I’m obsessed. I love it and I will watch it again for sure and I feel kind embarrassed to say this that I’m watching this right now, but that I’m a teen right now and watching this just makes me feel the same thing in some ways. I mean kind of every way.

i freaking love documentaries like these. it really tells you about the lives of artists or just famous people in general. i liked how it showed the parts where Billie didn’t want to do it (obviously it was a bad thing for her) but it really adds an element of realism and relation to her story. i really liked it and i would probably watch it again 💚💚

Despite being a big fan of her, I didn’t enjoy this movie that much. It was way too long and boring.
-
S
All you could ask for in a celeb documentary. An intimate, honest look into her rise, her support system, her struggles, her drive. Music as a survival mechanism and a tool to help others. Having every bad mood and career highlight under a spotlight. She really got to create and direct her own shit from the beginning. Love.
-
A
Seeing your favorite artist grow up and live his life with his problems makes me happier, knowing he’s close to you and not trying to hide anything. Even if everything wasn’t shown, themes were revealed that relate to each of us going through a difficult and challenging time. Billy, you are my love.

I was dry hating on Billie during the 2020 Grammys because I thought she had stole some Grammys from some of my favorite artists, but then I listened to WWAFAWDWG (long ass album title), I realized oh ok, her and Finneas deserved. I already know that it’s just the two of them making Billie’s music together, but now watching their process of making it makes the songs even more special, especially for Billie’s first album. Billie is such a beautiful…

даже умудрились сконструировать монументальных размеров док еще до всемирно известной пластинки when we fall asleep, where do we go?

It’s meandering and unstructured. The runtime is way too long for a doc. But if you’re a Billie Eilish fan I doubt that matters. Incredible access to a very young pop star on the cusp of mega-stardom.

I adore this movie. I love the style of documentary and how they filmed it from Billie’s perspective of navigating through the struggles of fame whilst being a teenager struggling with her mental health . i love how it ends with her at the Grammys leaving with 7 academy awards by the end of the night. I think its a perfect movie that shows just why so many people lover her. Perfect movie and will never not cry at the end.

Ive been following billie eilish since 2019. Tho I haven’t really kept up with her much later but Ive liked some of her latest album too. Nice doc chronicling her more personal side of her journey with music that she has been fairly public about. Good choice to just avoid doing talking heads, they had a lot of good footage that works by itself. a little too long tho. but I don’t think it will feel long to her hardcore fans.

I’ve been a Billie Eilish fan since 2019–2020 and I can’t lie her dont smile at me EP had me depressed for three years, but at the same time, it helped me figure out who I am. love this era so much, and I love the messy photography!!!It genuinely made me feel like I was with her for the whole two hours!

Billie’s documentary was an eye-opener for me. It’s not often that we get a look into someone’s world. Being able to watch Billie grow throughout her formative years felt awfully raw, considering she’s a public figure. The authenticity of who she is quite literally seeped through the screen, and being able to see clips of her from home almost felt invasive. I’m not entirely sure if I’m saying this as I’m a fan or because I feel so deeply for…
