    The thing that stuck out to me the most on this third (srsly??) rewatch, was that the camera is almost constantly swirling around characters as they try to assess their surroundings looking for the lion. Harkens to the moments in video games where you’d have to work at a thing like turning a big gear with a fixed camera angle and you’re having to button mash as the looming threat approaches closer. We need more of that in action movies, I’m so serious.

    Bien, para pasar un rato. Mantiene la acción en la selva, pero acaba siendo algo repetitiva , puesto que son leones que persiguen a humanos por la selva, leones algo irreales. Además llama la atención que al actor principal que le dan muchas sacudidas no acaben con el, eso es poco creíble.

    Une série B qui s’assume. C’est tendu, gore, invraisemblable et dans des décors superbes. Bien sûr un lion qui ne semble rien voir ni sentir ce n’est pas crédible, mais on s’en fiche et on vit le film avec grand plaisir. Elba apporte un plus non négligeable à l’ensemble

    About what you’d expect. Would have liked to see more of the Lion and a few more attacks. Not too eventful. The Lions CGi did not look great. He also seemed to take zero damage throughout the film. There are multiple times Idiris Elba’s character seems to loose sight of the Lion while an encounter. Countless stupid decisions throughout the movie. Meaningless and pretty dumb family drama side plot. Serves no purpose. The final fight although short. It was pretty good.

    Beast is a good tense time with some really cool camera work. Love the continuous shots, as they are probably my favourite camera shot in film. The VFX of the Lion was really great as well. Unfortunately character decisions really got me pissed off, especially from the eldest daughter. Girl had no survival skills. The scene that pissed me off the most is the eldest calling the Dad on walk-in talkie even though she knows it could alert the Lion.…
