Atlas is not that bad! I thought the first 25 minutes were a bit slow, and I worried that the movie would drag on like Rebel Moon. However, things got much more entertaining once she got into the giant mech suit. The scene of her trip down through the crazy above-planet battle, especially considering she had no experience piloting a mech suit, was so fun and probably my favorite moment. The visuals, visual effects, and all the CGI were quite decent and neat. Sure, it’s ridiculous seeing Jennifer Lopez in this kind of role, but her performance was quite okay and didn’t bring the movie down. The plot is predictable and isn’t the strongest element, but I still enjoyed it…

Play Titanfall and watch Terminator. At least the CGI and sound effects were good. Metalstorm is better than this crap. Metalstorm looked good and didn’t feel like it was written by AI. One of the worst Netflix originals I’ve watched. The writer must’ve done a ChatGPT prompt and said this is a great idea, nobody has done this before. There’s better popcorn flick movies.

Though it’s a bit more engaging than Jennifer Lopez’s previous Netflix film The Mother, the predictable plot of involving A.I. and how it can be both good and bad made Atlas just another dull science film that would satisfy anyone who hasn’t seen any of the great science fiction involving A.I. before. Though it maybe cliche to say this, but the script really feels like it was done by A.I. though it would fit this film.
