As vezes Lars Von Trier lembra que sabe criar uma cena e faz takes lindos, e de repente esquece e faz o resto um borrão básico. Talvez todo o mérito desse filme pertença aos cinematógrafos. Teve muita coisa interessante nesse pelo menos, e muito do chocante dessa vez nao foi só pelo valor de choque e sim tinha motivo e utilidade, em uma grande alegoria do gênero e suas ligações com a dor e luto. Performances de Willem Dafoe e Charlotte Gainsbourg foram excelentes!

Watched this late last night and fell asleep at some point—not entirely sure when—so naturally my dreams blended straight into the movie. Woke up the next morning convinced the part where she mutilates her genitalia was just a nightmare, thinking to myself, “Well, that was pretty fucked up. My subconscious is clearly broken,” and feeling genuinely disturbed. Rewatched the whole thing this morning only to realize it was Lars von Trier’s mind that’s fucked up, not mine. Phew. What a relief.

A introspecção e ambientação é complexo demais, desesperador demais. Eu realmente não estava preparado, e talvez eu necessite reassistir essa obra muito no futuro para de verdade conseguir apreciar ela ou entender por completo, porque na situação atual, eu fiquei inquieto e nervoso.
