Time for a little bit of a hot take… I liked this better then the first one. 🤷 Not really saying much, as I feel that the original one is severely overrated, and this one did just enough to make me like it a little more. I had never seen this until tonight. I don’t know why, but I always put it off. Honestly, didn’t really even care about it, because like I said, I only like the first one a little bit. It has its moments, sure, but I think part 2 was just different enough for me to enjoy it a little more. Maybe it’s because Ron isn’t yelling every single line at the top of his lungs.…

C’est légèrement mieux que le premier mais il y a beaucoup trop de longueurs (faire une comédie de deux heures est un exercice très casse-gueule) et je n’arrive pas à accrocher au personnage de Ron Burgundy dont je me fous pas mal du développement (les scènes où il devient aveugle sont d’un ennui …). C’est dommage car il y a par moments quelques saillies absurdes qui me plaisent (cette guerre inter-médias à la fin avec tous les guests n’a aucun sens mais c’est une idée amusante), j’aime bien l’interprétation de Steve Carell, mais c’est bien trop inégal et pas assez efficace dans son rythme comique.

Post The Weeknd and Carti concert, XL Apache pizza pepperoni, Cajun chicken, Cajun shake, garlic drizzle in hand, and a BBL Drizzy cameo 10 minutes in = 5 star viewing experience. No lie tho one of my favourite comedy films oat. So many quotable lines and I’m still noticing new things each time. Rip Brick 🙏🏻😓

Not up to the heights of the original, but much better than I remembered. Perhaps the fact that this is among the last wide released comedies for nearly every actor/filmmaker/the genre gives it some leeway.

You know what they call bat….the chicken of the cave🍗 Goated movie. One of my favorite comedies oat. So good we turned it on to have something to watch while eating and ended up watching it until half 2 in the morning, that’s the brilliance of this masterpiece. I pray one day we will conclude this saga with a third movie and a grown up Walter. Wonder what he’s up to now🤔

Super Sized R Rated Version. It’s a fun, easy watch that I found much more enjoyable than what I saw in the theater. The scene with Champ’s chicken fried bats is still among the hardest I’ve ever laughed.

Still very funny, but they tried one upping the first so much that they fell a little under. The final fight is a good example.

In all my years of going to movie theaters, I’ve only left a movie theater halfway through ONE movie. It was this one. I was on a date, and this movie embarrassed me so much that I apologized to my date and we walked out of the theater together. The relationship did not last. This was so much better than the original in so many levels it’s unbelievable. The comedy is next level, all throughout the film with consistency and an actual strong and humorous narrative. The characters are so so good in this franchise as well, all of them being so funny and entertaining. Love the cameo segment as well, miles better than the originals, and kanye saying ‘No fair he got a gun from the future’ is an all timer. We all love Ron Burgundy.

Anchorman 2 is very similar to the first movie in my opinion, in the sense that there is little plot, and it’s mostly one big exaggerated skit. That isn’t necessarily bad, but it has to be your kind of humor, otherwise you will not have a good time.
