   Way too much of this is Jason Statham sitting at tables and not nearly enough of it is Jason Statham punching. Stop trying to convince me you’re a serious movie. You’re not a serious movie. Just be fun. *points though for the absurdly huge Melancholia-sized moon in the third act, one of the more insane visual choices in a recent mainstream movie

    That’s right. Let’s play. If your only goal is to watch Jason Statham beat the hell out of people, this movie definitely delivers. The action is hard-hitting, fast-paced, and easily the film’s biggest selling point. The premise is simple and could have worked well as an effective revenge thriller, but the movie adds too many subplots and conspiracy elements, making the story feel more complicated than it needs to be.

    Pretty solid movie. The thing that makes it a three star is the pace. You’re like an hour into the movie thinking it’s almost done but you still have another hour. They dragged out the story a little bit. It’s a basic story I’ve seen it a ton. The fighting was good and the ending fight was good to.

    Normalmente cuando acabo una del Statham me pongo a hacer flexiones y a pegar paredes como si fueran narcos peligrosos después de un par de birras, un par de disparos de one million y un par de one liners sin sentido después de ponerme unos vaqueros gastados y una camisa a cuadros y después de olvidarme como sonreir o tener siquiera expresión facial. Русскую мафию изобразили не убедительно, в конце черные на байках в самурайских костюмах и рогах вообще похоронили фильм). Главный герой не раскрыт. На разок не более и то ….

    Grandma – 8/10 Rewatched with my grandma (her first time) since we just watched Bald Daddy Jason Statham’s new film Mutiny in theaters earlier today. I even brought out my cup I got when I first watched it in theaters with my mom. My grandma liked it better than Mutiny but said it was still bloody like it. I thought it was a lil better on rewatch imo, I haven’t rewatched since i watched it in theaters last year but now it’s the same rating as The Beekeeper for me (that’s still better tho).

    Jason Statham getting thrown into the usual situations, but now with more John Wick-style color and villains, though never showing any inclination to make it a commentary on Statham’s no-nonsense brutality trouncing the effete pomp and circumstance of bad guy nobility. Jason beating his way to the big boss isn’t boring per se, but he always seems to be walking through situations where a better movie is happening without him. I’d watch a whole Netflix series about the cleaning ladies.…

    Im pretty dissappinted in this, I love his action movies and I usually love the action scenes and all that but this felt lacking in soul and reason. Usually he has a reason for what he does, he has a personal stake and the suspense is thick. This movie didnt feel like that or have that at all. It felt like he was forced to do this movie and didnt want to. Also his character didnt feel like a badass.…

    Fun, entertaining and a Jason Statham film through and through. No need to fix something that isn’t broken. This formula works so well and I’m happy for my guy Jason who is happily working on what he is certainly good at. Just a tad bit longer than his usual films, and the Russians, biker gang, evil organizations were quite underwhelming in this one. He usually faces some adversity but he clearly squad wiped every single one of them so effortlessly, it’s fun at times but no challenge for his character the entire duration of the film felt bland and uninteresting at times.

    Truth be told when I saw this in the theater the projector was flickering and the sound was terrible, and the movie wasn’t cool enough to stick around for so we left- but I had been wanting to try it again because I love a dumb action movie, glad I got around to it again. It’s pretty funny even if it’s probably mid to low tier statham. pretty violent too. I always wonder about stathams actual ability because movies he is in seem to cut around any martial arts being fully visible. Would love to see something that is more demanding from him.

    Après un The Beekeeper mauvais, David Ayer réitère avec le bon vieux Statham toujours en quête de castagne pour un film encore plus mauvais que leurs précédents. Évidemment prévisible comme tous les films de ce genre, il n’a même pas pour lui une scène d’action notable ou quelconques prouesses visuelles…
