Movie unironically uses the word “unalive” by the way. Society is cooked. Too many characters, Overworld feels weightless, storytelling is afterthought— normal ingredients for a blockbuster intended for kids from a studio that only cares about exploiting an IP kids love. 2025 y’all. Such a weird concept for a movie. I’m not really sure what a better Minecraft movie could have looked like…but it definitely isn’t this. I still enjoyed watching it and was honestly better than what I expected…which was already not good.

A minecraft movie changed me as a person it has inspired me in aspect of my life and has made me a better person. Jack black is so sexy in it and has flawless delivery with his lines and really steals every scene he is in, the emotional impact of this movie is strong and had me in tears. This movie deserves all the awards and all the 5 stars

Horrendous movie on all fronts but it was just so much fun. I wish I could have been able to see it in a theater with an audience but it was still fun solo. Still a really bad movie but it knows, I don’t think to the extent it is but it knows. Lotta fun. Steve and Jason Mamoas characters are my favorite gay couple ever. And it has a very weird obsession with Spanish. Great time.

I wish I could give negative stars The relationship between Steve and the pink jacket guy was extremely forced. Also there’s absolutely no plot??? This movie could have happened in every universe, the point of making a Minecraft movie is to take advantage of the game’s plot.

i loved this movie, how they built this universe, as a minecraft player it made me really happy and i wanted to see more. seeing the homage to technoblade made me nearly cry. i wasnt a big fan of the role “garbage man”, it was so unnecessarily stupid/goofy that i didnt like. but besides that it was great to watch

Family movie night — 6yo’s pick Should have known we were in trouble when we got a “yearn for the mines” reference in the first minute. 90 minutes of Jack Black making faces and pointing at items from the game, along with the occasional cut to the completely disconnected Jennifer Coolidge subplot. Assume the only reason six-seven didn’t make it in was the movie slightly predated that one.
