The expectations vs. reality scene is one of the most depressing scenes I’ve ever seen. Na minha opinião o visual do filme em si é muito bom. Segundo, todos colocam a culpa na Summer, mas, esquecem de como o Tom foi idiota. Summer deixou claro desde o começo que não queria nada com ninguém e mesmo assim ele idealizou Summer na cabeça dele, do jeito que ele queria que ela fosse. Esse filme é de terror com toda certeza. Mas é totalmente possível entender os dois lados, quando você já esteve dos dois lados. A maneira como a Summer agiu com Tom, ela sempre deixou claro o que queria, mas querendo ou não, lhe pôs expectativa de algo além do casual, enquanto Tom criou sentimentos, mesmo com os limites de Summer. Eu particularmente me vi nos dois, tive duas fases igual a dos dois, então sim, é compreensível os dois lados.

Both of them are bad people. Tom was trying to project some ideal romantic fantasy onto an actual woman with flaws, and Summer while setting very clear boundaries was still aware of his intentions. Like I get she was honest all the way through but she wasn’t innocent either. She definitely knew Tom was more interested in herand wanted a commitment but she got swept up in the fun of it while he got swept up in romatising every single interaction into his ideal fantasy.
