You ever notice how Bruce Banner here is almost a Neil Breen protagonist?

My hot take here is that I think Ed Norton is actually pretty good as Bruce Banner? The big miss here is not making the movie an actual origin story. Hard to buy into the character and his relationships without knowing more about who he was prior to the big accident. Despite this, kind of wish The Incredible Hulk wasn’t shoved into a drawer by the MCU because another movie could have been good? Ep. 2- Journey into the MCU: The Incredible Hulk (Patreon Exclusive)

This is nowhere near as bad as people think it is. It’s still not particularly good but the improvement on Hulk is so obvious.

“Any last words?” “Hulk…SMASH!” Edward Norton perfectly captured a troubled Bruce Banner who doesn’t see Hulk as a superpower, but as an illness. It’s a shame he was unwilling to work with Marvel any further. With that said, I think Ruffalo brought a more lovable version of the character that works better in a team rather than as a solo fugitive. The action is intense, and the film does a great job making Hulk feel like a genuinely terrifying and…

POV Bruce: You 🫵 Don’t ❌ Want 💪 To ✌️ See 👀 Me 🤢 Mad 😡. I couldn’t find a quote worth putting here, so that’ll have to do. This is the Hulk movie that somehow skims over the entire origin of the Hulk, just to fast-forward to Bruce Banner working a factory job in Brazil. Cheers, Marvel. Glad we cleared that up. Probably could’ve just gotten everything I needed from this movie in one sentence… Put this movie on…

It’s baffling to me that this movie isn’t as loved and respected as other comic book movies. I was impressed by every aspect of The Incredible Hulk – the writing, acting, music, editing, action, camera work, special effects.. all excellent. It was so wonderful to see a movie all about Bruce Banner for a change, instead of him usually being a side character in an ensemble cast, like Mark Ruffalo’s version. Edward Norton got the proper amount of time and story…

I think Hulk has anger issues guys I completely forgot that The Incredible Hulk was apart of the MCU, reluctantly I sat down to watch it in preparation for Doomsday. I really could not get into this film, whether it was because of the poor CGI, overall quality of the plot or the acting, I really did not enjoy watching this movie. I don’t really have too much to say here, a below average movie which Edward Norton tries his…

Something about this movie is so corny to me. The CGI looks really bad, it feels all over the place and at the same time it feels lacking of more. It wants to be something it isn’t. Abomination has a great into and so does Mr. Blue later being The Leader. Apart from that the movie is boring and bad.

Before the movie gets completely started, we get some opening credits. Learning Stark made the tools used to suppress Hulk, and that Hulk ended up hurting Betty during his first transformation. It’s clear that he can’t control it and has some sort of insane anxiety disorder(?) Because one of the main plot points is that his BPM has to reach 200 for Hulk to come out, and with Banner apparently being 39-ish, this should be extremely difficult, even at the…

MCU 2 Assolutamente irrilevante lo spunto narrativo e senza particolare inventiva la messa in scena. Si salvano certe (vaghe, sia chiaro) atmosfere da monster movie, ma nel risultato finale contano poco.

Great Hulk movie, and honestly, it felt like everything you’d want in a Hulk movie. The only thing that sucks is that they didn’t move forward with this style of Hulk movie, because this one was really enjoyable.

C
there isn’t much to say about this film if im being honest. It isn’t bad or anything don’t get me wrong but it isn’t unforgettable. I do think I prefer the newer actor for hulk over this one – although this one is also a very good actor. It was all just a bit repetitive really. hulk see bad guys, hulk angry, hulk fight, hulk human. Its definitely not the best film I’ve seen but not the worst either. definition of mid = this movie.

L
nah Nick was so right, they really struggle to make a good hulk movie. which really does suck because the whole premise is really interesting and I feel like you could make a really interesting psychological thriller with it but nah, instead we have fight club guy playing a very bad bruce banner, doesn’t help that abomination is just stupid in this movie, so forced, oh well, can’t say I hated it, just waiting on that mark ruffalo hulk movie

I kind of like the Jason Bourne-style beginning and I guess the concept of a superhero film that feels like a political thriller. But other than that, this is really weak — it’s tonally akimbo, the main female character is poorly written, and the CGI is pretty mediocre. MCU #2

I really like Ed Norton as Banner, but my god the pacing in this is SO off😭 I don’t even have any many other major issues with the film but the pacing is weird as fuck; does it take place over a week or a month or several months? Who’s to say! Was also a little weird that you don’t even actually see Blonsky as Abomination (supposedly the main villain) until 20 minutes before the end. Final fight is anticlimactic too. Overall I don’t hate it as much as other people do, but certainly worse than a majority of the films which came before it.

Maybe I came in too jaded but I just find Hulk so uninteresting it just never feels like Bruce’s character can never evolve past the same struggle. Truly this film doesn’t help that argument at all it, feels uninteresting and paper thin. It’s also devastatingly ugly, truly the definition of ps3 graphics

Overall it’s fine. The whole intro and origin part of the Hulk takes way too long, but Edward Norton as the Hulk is actually pretty good🫠😍

when i first watched this film when i was younger i really enjoyed it but mainly because of the fight between Hulk and Abomination, I couldn’t really remember anything else. so when i decided to properly get into the MCU i was really excited to revisit this film but ended up being massively disappointed and again, the best bit was just Hulk vs Abomination at the end lol. Do love the design of this Hulk though
-
C
Bu filmi 2026 da əlavə edirəm bura, ilk baxdığım dönem çox maraqlı gəlirdi.
-
M
Really liked this version of The Incredible Hulk. Yes, it has pacing issues, a somewhat one-dimensional character arc for Bruce Banner, and a few inconsistencies. But here, the Hulk actually felt like a raging monster rather than just another superhero. The film showed how the Hulk was born from a failed scientific experiment and how that incident completely disrupted Bruce Banner’s life. The final battle between Hulk and Abomination is still the best Hulk fight in the MCU to date. 💥 The tone was also noticeably darker and more mature than most other MCU films. Honestly, one of the most overhated MCU films.

- Synopsis
- Scientist Bruce Banner scours the planet for an antidote to the unbridled force of rage within him: the Hulk. But when the military masterminds who dream of exploiting his powers force him back to civilization, he finds himself coming face to face with a new, deadly foe.
