Like with the first film, I am more than willing to step over creative liberties and narrative flaws because Jackson once again allowed me to spend time in Middle Earth. Se van de Netflix esta semana y estoy haciendo un recorrido por el mundo de tolkien, que les digo, una de las mejores adaptaciones de una novela, hay cosas que no me convencían tanto como los orcos, que en general están echos con efectos especiales, pero, igual da para que tengan batallas épicas, creo que estas películas son el culmine de la perfección, esta todo tan bien diseñado y es tan lindo para alguien que se ha leído la novela…

The one star is for Cumberbatch as Smaug, an excellent feat of performance and technical wonder trapped in a busy, boring and most of all charmless film completely unworthy of it. If anything it stands out just because Cumberbatch is so good you realize how boring and frustrating everything else here is by pure contrast.

Assim como o primeiro filme, a aventura é muito mais interessante do que a “resolução” dela, as coisas que acontecem no primeiro até metade do segundo te prendem mais do que o final que era pra ser algo mais épico, porém achei que houve uma evolução nas sequências de ações.

Second fight continued my Hobbit watched. This is probs my favourite film of the trilogy but still shares the same issues as the first film but they throw Legolas at you and you know what it works for me. I am a simple man. Pros- Legolas being Legolas, Smaug is kinda sexy and actually good CGI, less cringe moments. Thranduil is so cunty. Cons- The forced fucking love story, this wasn’t needed. Bards kids calling him Da every time pisses me off so much. Still good amount of CGI slop.

Again an over hated series. I love the integration of Legolas (walk em down) of the Mirkwood Elves. A well done movie that also shows how the ring slowly starts to pull Bilbo into its spell the more he uses it, along with Thorins want to be king starting to show when they get to the mountain. I like these movies a lot and am excited for the rewatch of the battle of the five armies.

This was just okay, some of the cgi looked so bad and it felt long. The best part is the sets, the elf town and mines looked amazing – the scale of them was incredible, even the town was so well done.

Tudo que envolve o Smaug neste filme é simplesmente incrível. Ele é a grande estrela da produção, roubando a cena em todos os momentos e protagonizando algumas das melhores sequências do filme. This movie is really fun. I think the dwarf lore that’s added is really interesting and necessary. I really like the design of lake town and the characters there. I think it fits the atmosphere of the book really well. I really liked all of the e dwarf and elf antics in this movie. The dragon looks amazing but some of the other graphics look not great I don’t give 2 shits about what Gandalf is doing with the necromancer and it’s so boring I hate it. Also Legolas looks terrible and old as shit he shouldn’t be in this.
