They sure did make a porno🎥👀. Good for them.👍 I love a romcom with a weird premise❤️🔥 and this had a lot of good laughs. Elizabeth Banks is such an underrated comedic actress🤩. Raunchy but sweet💘.

A heartwarming romantic comedy … for perverts 🤣 🤣 joking … but seriously we are talking about Kevin Smith teaming up with Seth Rogen here. “We could make a porno … Not the idea I was lookin’ for … What? No, that is a fuckin’ awesome idea ….. If it’s so easy, how come everybody doesn’t do it? … Because other people have options – and dignity – which we do not have, which puts us in an amazingly advantageous position!” Today I am celebrating my 13th Wedding Anniversary, and I am pretty sure my wife and I went to see this in the theater. But I would not dare try to get her to check it out now, since…

I’ve never met a man who can make me come like a vibrator does. – strong contender for the most relatable quote in movie history This is one of my favorite rom-coms. Over the last few days a lot of people I follow here logged it and it made me rewatch it and it’s just delightful. And I’ll say it again – there’s nothing wrong with Seth Rogen playing love interests to those sexy women. He is always so likable in those comedies and he plays genuinely good, caring guys. I don’t think men realize just how many assholes we women meet. A genuinely good guy in a rom-com? That’s super hot. Elizabeth Banks is one of my favorites and…

There’s an alternate timeline in which it grossed all the money in the world and Kevin Smith maintained access to thousands of screens on which to pair hard emotions with genuinely audacious, transgressive comedy. As it stands, this and Clerks II are delightful reminders of what could have been. I’d be first in line for Zack and Miri Make a Baby.

Fun fact: this was the first R rated movie of 2008/9 (I think it came out in February) and it’s the worst title but a fun titles. Very Kevin Smith vibes. Listened to a podcast with Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes and he was saying that was him going down 😂. It’s awkward dumb fun, and I think there should be a spin off movie of Justin Long’s character. WHY ISNT THERE A MOVIE ABOUT HIM?

Totally fine Kevin Smith movie that gets surprisingly raunchy and includes a whole lot of nudity.

5.5/10 Dunno how Kevin Smith didn’t immediately scrap this entire screenplay when he came up with Justin Long’s character. Where’s that movie at??

The last Kevin Smith movie I can confidently say I enjoyed. It’s interesting to think of an alternate timeline where he continued making Judd Apatow-style studio comedies with better writing. Instead, Seth Rogen introduced him to weed and we’re stuck with self-referential cack like Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. I’d forgotten how funny this movie is, and the interplay between Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks works extremely well. It doesn’t feel overwritten like some of Kevin Smith’s scripts. As much as I like Chasing Amy, Dogma or Mallrats, there’s definitely some ungainly paragraphs of dialogue. Well worth a revisit.

Watched this on the train back from Edinburgh and had to angle my phone when a woman tried to put her kid next to me just as Jeff Anderson takes a face full of scat. Needless to say this is a very sweet lovely movie. I liked the bit where a porno was made by Zack and Miri.

“Because other people have options— and dignity— which we do not have, which puts us in an amazingly advantageous position!” My friend was threatening to outslop me, the #1 slop movie fan, so I had to fight back. It’s unfortunate that this is going to break my beautiful Almodóvar run, but sacrifices must be made. I think this could’ve been funnier and better written. It’s just fine. It tries to be provocative but everything is still sanitized, the dialogue is…

Filmasso do Seth Rogen! Comédia pastelão sobre fazer filme adulto pra pagar contas que apesar de ser uma grande reunião de piadas de sexo, também tem personagens cativantes e um núcleo dramático fofo (apesar de clichê). Seth Rogen NUNCA MAIS tire a barba!

Such a brilliant Y2K comedy! Beyond the hilarious filthy jokes and the great chemistry between Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks, it’s insane how Kevin Smith basically predicted the rise of homemade, DIY adult content. Years before OnlyFans, he showed broke, desperate people turning to webcam production as their ultimate financial lifeline to pay the bills. Sharp, funny, and surprisingly ahead of its time.

This was very funny. Elizabeth Banks is the stand out here. Her slight neurosis is realistic and she was always enjoyable. Personal hero Seth Rogen is funny as ever but he has stillness to him that is a little off putting and he does a bunch of jokes that he wouldn’t do anymore so its strange to see him aggressively vulgar to women. Not the puppy dog he usually plays. There is a earnestness that makes this enjoyable. Very Canadian scenes with the freezimg temperatures and chunky knit scarves.

Haha not sure why I watched this – I think because it only had 1 day left in prime and I thought it would be funny because Seth Rogan is in it. Zack & Miri Make a Porno (2008) Zack and Miri are two lifelong friends and roommates who are struggling financially and falling behind on their bills. After a particularly disastrous situation makes them desperate for money, they come up with an outrageous plan: make an amateur porn movie with their friends and sell it for profit. What starts as a supposedly simple business venture quickly becomes complicated as Zack and Miri have to deal with awkward co-workers, eccentric performers, production disasters…

Craig Robinson and Justin Long are the best parts of this, they should have been the main characters. Shit gag actually made me lol – funny how it paid off even tho I haven’t seen since middle school. Tisha Campbell cameo had me scream!! Aside from that, most of the rest is sloppy 2007 icky humor tied with a weird rom-com narrative push that doesn’t really make sense but I think everyone tries acting their best to pull it off.

Let us fuck! I decided I’d watch the rest of Kevin Smith’s View Askewniverse and apparently this “fucking movie” is in it. I always find it hilarious how Kevin Smith assigns his friend’s roles. This is actually way better than how I originally remember it; The writing in this is kind of ingenious. “*Everybody* wants to see *anybody* fuck. I hate Rosie O’Donell, but if somebody said “I got a tape of Rosie O’Donell getting fucked stupid” I’d be like “Why the fuck aren’t we watching that right now?””

“I just wanted to see some free titties, that’s all. But there’s no such thing as free titties. Is there, Zack? Is there?” I’m forever in love with this movie. I’ve seen it countless times, but it never gets old. I always ugly laugh at the raunchy jokes, and my heart gets all warm and mushy during those cheesy love confessions. Happy belated birthday to the one and only, Kevin Smith. Thank you for giving us this horny masterpiece. It’ll always be one of my all-time favorites.

In all honesty this was shockingly good, I’ve been working my way through a lot of the stuff that’s leaving prime soon since it’s easier than finding movies that actually interest me, and this had Seth Rogen in it so I figured it’d be decent enough.
