there’s a warmth and fun to 90s family films that i have such a hard time describing, but it’s that X factor that makes them all so enjoyable and almost immune to “not holding up” to me. this movie is silly but i think it’s genuinely very good! very very ripe for a reboot! maybe one that has a little more bite with its consumerist satire (i know about the sequel, that’s not what i mean) the cast is just fantastic though. absolutely nutso to realize that this movie takes place in like, 18 hours. most of it being over the same morning

Bello e divertente!

It’s not good but it is so entertaining. This has become my family’s Christmas movie (alongside Muppet Christmas Carol).

Nonsensical writing with an irredeemable main character and a terrible message. Instant classic.

“¡Quiero un Turbo Man!”

I don’t get the hate for this one, I find it really funny and one of the funniest Christmas movies, it might be a little mean at times, but it’s still funny also Arnold is probably one of the worst parents for constantly forgetting to get presents on time, which is why his son Jake became Darth Vader years later.

You have only one day to buy a gift. I have seen this film on a few Christmases, and I love it. It is extremely funny, Arnold says very memorable lines (“Put that cookie down! Now!”), the story is well-written, the action sequences are exciting and funny at the same time (Howard’s fight with the Santa army, the mall chase, the chase to ask for the action figure first, and the climax), some parts are depressing and heartfelt, and it…

I don’t get the hate at all. This was such a fun movie to watch and really cozy too, especially since it’s Christmas night. Ignoring Arnold’s awkward acting, this movie will remain one of my favorite Christmas movies. (MOVIE)
