Superbad? More like… not Superbad, am I right ladies? *hold for applause* I enjoyed this movie a lot, my wife said she hasn’t heard me laugh out loud since I saw our neighbour Gary trip on the kerb and faceplant into his chrysanthemum garden. Boy did I laugh when Gary did that, he works so hard on his flowers and he just ATE SHIT right in the middle of em. That just goes to show how funny this movie is.…

If Seth was a minor character and the movie centered around McLovin and the cops antics it would be a 5 star movie. A very different viewing experience than it was 19 years ago. Funny how time works.

it’s pretty funny I can’t lie, but a I feel like it’s maybe a tad overrated? I really love the McLovin + Cop arc throughout the movie it’s hilarious, but I feel like it really carries the comedy til the last half hour. still great though

Not only is the my favorite comfort movie EVER but it’s a timeless classic that never gets old. A bright reminder of how fucked up and hilarious the teenage mind can be, let alone the misfortune and stupidity of a trio of friends trying to buy alcohol with a fake ID. Time and time again Superbad leaves me with one of the best feelings in the world; that everything is gonna be ok. Are there gonna be insane bumps in the road? Yes. But it’s how you keep rolling with the punches and prevent period blood from getting on your pants

‘Prepare to be fucked by the long dick of the law!‘ this movie is still just as stupid as i remembered it being, i gave it one star the first time i watched it, but watching it again was SO much more fun i don’t know if i was just in a better mood this time or if i finally understood the kind of stupid this movie is, but there were genuinely so many moments that had me laughing out…

Comedic, thrilling journey which gets meh at the end. The first two-thirds were hilarious and the characters in it were really powerful and quite memorable especially those cops, which were my favourites and I really loved the chemistry between McLovin and those cops. There was one major fault with this, which was the writing which affects the plot therefore making it less engaging act by act and shifts from dark teen comedy to a predictable end.

I truly believe that Mclovin and the cops were the only good parts of this movie. The rest was fine, I just never found it all that funny. I expected more, I guess

For how 2000s the humour is in this film, I’m surprised how well it holds up. There is the glaring sense that the film does rely a little on misogyny, but for a film that was made for teenage boys, it makes sense. I think the reason one of the funniest parts of the film, the relationship between McLovin and the police officers, is that it doesn’t rely on women being the joke. Seth and Evan are funny in their…
