Bunch of drama queens in a jungle what the hell The actual true story this film is based on is a surprisingly deep rabbit hole if you decide to dig into it. But this… this isn’t it. There are two acts. The first is an intriguing, “where is this going?” kind of ride, despite some irritating creative choices. Then the second act just becomes… KEVIN? Kevin?? KEVIN??? while somatic Radcliffe resorts to Naked Snake survival tactics(not really). And McLean’s direction is full of admiration for nature, with its majestic landscapes and tense survival sequences, but they only seem to scratch the surface of the man-versus-nature conflict, it’s just empty grandeur, you could say. Where tf are Marcus and Karl? Justice for Marcus – really felt like I related bc he was crying about ruining the vibe for something he genuinely couldn’t help. Too bad compeed’s weren’t commercially available until 1986 – would have been a massive help & essential on their packing list (alongside a dbs on Karl)

Pese a que se me ha echo larga, no es una mala peli, me ha gustado bastante y el desarrollo que tiene me parece cojonudo, empatizas mucho con los personajes ya que abunda el diálogo. Me parece una peli recomendable, pero si vienes buscando acciones o una peli frenética no la veas. Para terminar es muy buena, la construcción de la tensión me parece increíble. Buena peli.

This movie fascinated me. It just goes to show most hurdles in life are mental. At every point he overcame something crazier. It just have been near impossible to film let alone to actually experience. I think this sits on the thin line between too scary and about appropriate. Fair play

No animals were actually harmed in the making of this movie but God damn that still doesn’t make me feel any better. Brutal, you see some harsh and disgusting shit in this movie, from trench rot to monkey bashing. You get a bad vibe from Karl the entire movie, no surprise his ending in this story. Beautiful sets. Intense, dramatic scenes. Four backpacker venture into the Amazon jungle with promises of gold and tribes only to find the harsh reality of jungle life.

I liked it and it was intense at points! 🐒🌲🌌🐍 I actually already knew what the ending was unfortunately from tiktok spoilers – but I can’t believe this film is based off a true story! That’s probably the main reason I found it super interesting cause I was linking events in the movie to the real story. It was fun to debrief with Toa as well .
