I loved it, way different vibe from the first one and I’m here for it. The start with all of the Nyah stuff was a bit eh but the last 45 mins had some of the coolest action I’ve seen Cruise do and I loved the over the topness of it all (cause why tf not). I’m convinced this version of Hunt was the blueprint for Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil 4

Que filme brega né. Extremamente datado, é muito um produto de sua época, seja o roteiro extremamente superficial e genérico, piorando o personagem principal e trazendo novos muito ruins. O casting não é bom, aqui se tem um desperdício com o Anthony Hopkins e esse ator que faz o vilão que só Jesus pra salvar. Pourquoi MI:2 est-il considéré comme le moins bon de la saga ? J’hésite entre les cheveux de Tom Cruise ou Hans Zimmer qui fout vraiment le bordel entre les guitares électriques, les accords de flamenco et les chœurs façon Gladiator. En tout cas c’est pas la faute à John Woo, même si sa patte est pas mal diluée il fait le taf et livre quelques scènes d’actions mémorables dont lui seul a le secret. Se nota de manera horrorosa el cambio de dirección y enfoque. De Palma hace las cosas de manera excelente en la primera, que si bien tiene acción, es más una película de espionaje. I didn’t know Tarantino hated Leon Kennedy so much. The pacing is horrible! It made me LAUGH. But Tom Cruise’s beautiful face makes up for it. Also, personally, I like this better than MI:1 the romance is insane!

Realistically this should be a 3.5 but the climax brings it up to 4.5. And face it no one watches it for the spy stuff, we watch it for Ethan “Twin Snakes” Hunt doing Leon Kennedy shit. Watched mi1 and mi2 back to back on a flight safe to say I loved the first half of my flight and hated the second. This is probably the worst action movie I’ve ever seen utter shite. The dialogue is shocking the amount of slow motion is so repetitive and boring and it takes itself to seriously for Ethan to be bicycle kicking people in the head. The villian is horribly acted and unintesting and the relationship is less believable than Jay Cartwright. Probably the worst film I’ve seen all year. 23/100

This is so tonally a wrong fit for the Mission: Impossible series, and especially bizarre as a sequel to the 1996 Brian De Palma movie. BUT we got John Woo & Tom Cruise working together, and that’s pretty incredible.
