Everything is so predictable and banal, and to think there are people who actually watch this kind of stuff with desire. And in the end, they became everything they used to despise. Typical. The kind of movie that makes you regret the time you spent watching it.

Also, love to see the gay best friend as something a bit more nuanced than just your standard rom-com gay guy. No idea how they decided on Woody Harrelson for the role but thank god they did.

Can see why some people don’t like it (overstuffed plot, too detailed characterisation, the 2011 job landscape and dating economy feels completely outdated and surreal now) but you simply cannot argue with the two leads and their chemistry imo. Kunis firmly in “best anyone has ever looked on camera” territory throughout. Also: Emma Stone delivering like four of the six best lines in the whole film in her one-scene cameo … world class stuff. John fuckin’ Mayer!
