I really dont get the hate on this movie. It made me tear up at the end honestly and i was invested the entire way through. And it looks amazing. The bit where everything in its right place plays is peak cinema. At times i also got a horizon forbidden west kinda vibe aswell so that was cool.

This film was good when it comes to visual storytelling. The story is generic but the emotional depth is the one which works in the favour of this film. The chemistry between John David Washington and the child actor Madeleine Yuna Voyles was wholesome to watch. The visuals were pretty good. The cinematography by Greg Fraser as always is precise and sets the tone perfectly. The direction by Gareth Edwards was amazing. Overall a decent one time watch film which has nothing new to offer but an enjoyable watch.

maybe humanity is not defined by being human at all. The Creator has a gorgeous cinematography, ideas about war and AI, and poses a question on what being human actually means. however, the characters feel particularly thin. joshua’s relationship with alphie feels somewhat rushed, as if the film expects us to care for something before it was truly earned. besides, those huge ideas don’t evolve from ideas, staying rather unexplored throughout the film. also, for a theme of such complexity…

If the relationship between our protagonist and the “stimulant” isn’t believable, the movie fails. Thankfully, that’s not the case here. John David Washington shines as the jaded Sergeant Taylor, and the effects are A1. The ending is predictable, and the story has been done 100 times over, but the journey is definitely worth your time.
