I don’t care if it’s August; it had Dan Aykroyd in it. Bleh. Just bleh. I can see why some people would really like this, especially since most of the movie is pretty ridiculous, but it ends up just going nowhere for me. It’s a story about conformity and the cult-like appraisal of Christmas, but everybody has no redeeming factors, so they’re all extremely annoying. I’m tired.

Terrible zany holiday slop about how hectic the holidays are and the unreasonable social pressure to make merry every twenty-fifth of December. I knew Tim Allen was an ass when I saw him being mean to that sexy lumberjack on Home Improvement, and every movie of his I’ve seen since then confirms it. Sad that JLC was involved. I was vaguely amused by the scene where she fights fellow holiday shoppers for an enormous tinned ham. If a meat product comes in a can, I can’t be THAT good.

No thanks, I don’t want to spend Christmas With The Kranks, nor their nosy, conformist neighbors. For the record, if I want to skip Christmas, I have every right to, no one should tell me how I should or shouldn’t celebrate Christmas. If I had neighbors like the ones in this movie, I would sell the house and move away as far as possible. This movie isn’t funny in the least, and it rightly ranks among the worst Christmas films ever. Speaking of skipping, skip watching this movie.

Those neighbors were the problem (harassment and manipulation). The Kranks didn’t do anything wrong. Sure, Luther broke into the house, but that’s one crime compared to the others. Plus he was basically given the key to go in. (CHRISTMAS IN JULY IS A MYTH!!)

Never have I witnessed so many jokes fall flat in a row. Some of them should have been funny, but they just weren’t in the context at all.
