Netflix keeps beating me and beating me and beating me….and I keep going back to them. One of these days I will accept the truth that I already know; Netflix original films are the worst of the worst. If I’m being honest, it’s actually impressive how bad they are. Like wouldn’t they accidentally end up with a great movie every once in a while? Apparently not. A day after watching Jackpot – which I thought was one of the worst movies of the year – I back it up with one even worse. I promise my next movie will be one I’ve already seen so I can’t be let down again.

Why does Netflix keep producing these generic action films? They’re never good. Might be 1 or 2 enjoyable ones every few years. Can’t believe they couldn’t even pronounce Southwark correctly. Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg were an interesting duo, as the chemistry was nowhere to be seen. Action was alright, standard at best.

There are some good things here. The production value is solid, the movie looks great and a few action sequences are genuinely entertaining. Unfortunately, the plot is so weak and predictable that the entire thing becomes forgettable almost immediately. Mark Wahlberg is also starting to feel repetitive with these similar roles. Halle Berry is good, though I’m still trying to figure out why her wardrobe barely changes throughout the movie. Overall, it’s a decent-looking action movie with very little substance underneath.

This movie was one of the most generic spy/espionage comedy’s I’ve ever seen. The twist was so underplayed and obvious I’m not sure why they even tried to put it in but they needed to make sure every generic plot point was part of the movie. I liked the occasional blue collar union references they were funny.

The Union was such a fun watch. 😭 The best part? The woman was absolutely the alpha of the duo. She was always one step ahead, completely in control, while the guy was just trying to keep up. Their chemistry and constant back-and-forth made the movie way more entertaining than I expected.

WHOA. Amazing! This made me laugh and smile and ugh, I just love these types of comedy action movies. I really really loved the story and how you can really put yourself in the main character mikes shoes. You can have fun imagining yourself in that position. When we were little, we used to ask Mom to give us ideas to dream about as we got ready to go to sleep. I can imagine this story kinda being one of her ideas. Loved it! I think they want to make lot more so I’ll definitely watch them.
