left early because i was tired and she had already done the 5 or so songs i know, but it’s hard to deny the contagious spirit of a bombastic stadium pop show. she’s the most famous person in the world for a reason! found a lot of joy in watching my friends scream sing her songs and bond so immediately with the little girls dancing in the aisles. can’t say it converted me into a swiftie but it did feel like going to church with your friend in 4th grade after sleeping over on a saturday. “ohhh wow you get to drink wine and sing songs and eat crackers? i can see why you’re all about this guy. pass that shit. sorry i cussed miss reynolds”

She is a star. And I am in love with her. I would wax poetic about how insane it is to hear songs that got me through elementary school performed in the same concert as songs that have been getting me through college but, well, that’s the point of the Eras Tour anyway.

I shouldn’t sleep so I decided instead of rewatching the perfectly edited and captured film I would watch a grainy live stream from YouTube. this experience took me back to 2024 when I would wake up at 3 am to watch the eras tour and be at school by 8. Truly a moving performance, especially when experienced the way I used to experience it. I even looked up old twitter threads to read live updates of the concert, for an authentic experience.

Enjoyed this immensely, although the glass (or two) of wine may have enhanced the experience by approximately 400%. I’ve seen the set live and cannot fault it enjoyed it a ridiculous amount.

I went to the cinema to watch this film with my mother because I couldn’t go with my old group of friends but it was actually pretty fun and I cried a lot.
