SCOTTTTTLAAAAAAND I care deeply about this guy. He reminds me of Robin Williams. Incredibly funny, naturally multi-talented, and born with an incurable sadness. I think these things come hand in hand. Blessed with talent, cursed with sadness. But, unlike most sad people who find ways to escape it, Lewis shares his sadness with the World. I hope he finds peace in the struggle. Also, that song The Pretender that Lewis played for his parents and his Dad said was ‘shite,’ it sounds like an AMAZING song. I hope he releases it.

I love this documentary about Lewis Capaldi life and how he deals with Tourette’s. It shows it’s ok to be different. And what ever you got you can achieve anything. He is my favourite singer because his songs are so nice to listen to and I enjoy them. Hopefully one day I will get to see him live, cause he’s the best singer ever and my favourite.

Saw him perform in Boston last night and he was great! I don’t know his music that well but from what I’ve seen he’s extremely talented and charming you just can’t help but want the best for him. His voice is crazy and I feel like people don’t talk about that enough. That Wembley show absolutely broke my heart. I’m sure many people can relate to having mental health struggles during covid. Hopefully this documentary inspires people to take their mental health more seriously. Everyone take care of yourselves!!!

Gostaria do lewis inovando, sempre.

Don’t know why it took me almost three years to finally watch this, but whatever, at least I’m watching it now. Biggest takeaway: I just wanna give this dude a hug I cannot believe the hate on The Pretender tho, that is one of his best songs, top 5 for sure, I’m shooketh Okay, now, trying to write an actual review (which is hard because it’s a documentary) This was a hard watch, not because it is bad, but because…

Seeing many young upcoming artists who have dealt with depression, their weight, their childhood, they always show the real selves behind the scenes and I’m actually really proud of Lewis because he was already charting #1’s and still came back to release a new song for the first time since before you go and Mr. Lewis, I was not familiar with your game when you showed off your WWE collectibles. That made me happy even more. So Lewis, keep doing what you need to do and release another song and take your time. What a great documentary !🙂↔️

throwing in another random watch into the letterboxd diary, but this one was more out of curiosity for what it would have been like for an artist who was number 1 in the world to almost go crazy over his sudden fame and high expectations from the public. His first album has always been unique in its own right, it helped put the idea of classic songwriting with an acoustic guitar, a keyboard and a well-rehearsed voice back into the…

An artist who’s work I know little of and what little I know I don’t particularly enjoy. That being said, this doc still works nicely due to LC’s ability to lay his struggles on the table for millions to watch and learn from or take solace in. Everyone should see it.

C
te amo Lewis Capaldi

Bless Lewis he’s so real and human. His openness is so inspiring. What he’s accomplished considering everything is incredible. The documentary does an amazing job of representing his emotions at different stages of his life. Well done Lewis!

He’s just such a funny guy

As a person who had a therapist who gave them homework to complete; when Lewis was talking about doing the homework before entering the session in the car out front was the realist thing ever. I’ve done that way too many times and he is right about the stress and anxiety that shit causes!

I never have been a huge dedicated fan/stan of Lewis Capaldi, I listened to a few of his songs when they were trending and on the radio and always see clips from his interviews of him being an absolute legend and a good laugh. So I was just curious to see what a documentary from him about him would have in it and be about. Not a bad documentary. He seems like a really nice guy and I hope he…

A documentary that will make you cry, laugh and feel every other emotion possible. It’s an adventure learning about Lewis’s story. We learn about where his music has come from, his medical history and his families history. I loved everyone minute of the documentary. He showed so many real and raw sides to his life. It also explored the meaning behind some of his songs which just made it more special. I would definitely recommend this to any Lewis Capaldi fans or actually anyone.

Omg I forgot to review this! Lewis just dropped a new song “Almost” omg majestic amazing he doesn’t drop bad songs🤷♂️ this doc is so good and shows how funny this guy is and him dealing with metal health during making his 2nd album. Good documentary!!

I appreciate how honest and vulnerable Lewis is in both this documentary and his music. It obviously takes a toll on him, but it is good to see he is taking care of himself. I wish nothing but the best for him.

Awww I never knew about Lewis capaldi. Mostly loved that his BFF is Niall horan and honestly I thought his parents were bullies but maybe it’s just that they’re Scottish.
-

Nothing special but the story itself is inspiring and Lewis Capaldi is always a larger than life character.
2 -
K
I wasn’t engaged in any part of the documentary, unfortunately. Lewis doesn’t have much a compelling story to tell though I do wish him the best in his endeavors. The film itself is not much of an engrossing picture.

thank goodness he is back!!!

I really like Lewis Capaldi. His music is good and he seems like a very down to earth guy. Also helps that he’s Scottish. Being a Scot myself I have a lot of time for them in the business of show, especially if they’re good c**ts like Lewis. Decent little doc. There seems to be one for every pop star just now but the subject of the documentary even knows that with comments from Lewis on what they could cut…

Seems like such a lovely and sweet guy, very talented too, I really like his music, i fucking love a good power ballad….he’s one of the most likeable famous guys for me along with Peter Crouch and James Blunt…….imagine sitting down and having a pint or two with those three…..I bet it would be such a laugh.
-
B
Lewis capaldi is just so cute and genuine and people like him must be protected at all costs The music industry is a literal bottomless pit that consumes the most vulnerable people for the benefit of a buck at the expense of those who are most willing to give their entire being to feel known and be understood through their art BOOOOO
-
C

W
don’t know how anybody could hate this guy

🥺
-
L
I had a real hankering to watch a music documentary and frankly I love to see one that features multiple shots of delicious pints of Tennents being poured 😇 I am still a bit annoyed that this documentary has the same title as the Charli XCX covid album but Lewis Capaldi seems like a nice chap so I am letting it slide. This film had a lot of chat about poor mental health which I support but honestly not enough about how exploitative the music business is and how that plays a part in the ruination of an artist’s mental health.

-
I
As a devoted Lewis Capaldi fan, I really don’t understand why he felt the need to make a documentary about his life when he’s only had a few years of career so far, half of which were during the COVID pandemic. Did he get jealous of his ex who went on Love Island and decided to turn his own life into a reality show in documentary form?
-
M
Emocionante dms que isso…
-
R
Lewis Capaldi is such an inspiration. His music and his life. So excited to finally see him in December after 2years of the cancellation of his last tour due to his Tourette’s
-
W
I love watching this documentary. Whoever dealt with anxiety before will relate to what Lewis been through. And at only 26 years of age. And the scene where his dad asks about his tics getting increasingly worse, is heartbreaking.

Lewis Capaldi is my therapy.

M
aww that bit where he’s playing a song about being depressed to his parents and his Da says ‘shite’, but then also his Da wanting to help but he doesn’t know how, and his Da running to the stage when Lewis isn’t well, I felt that. nice to see lots of Glasgow, odd to watch knowing that he then had to stop performing again, but makes this Glastonbury performance hit more! had a nice cry

He’s so silly. Loved it when he previewed ‘The Pretender’
-
J
A thoughtful documentary, and Capaldi deserves a big hug.
-
B
A documentary for the goofiest and most genuine artist of this generation. forever love this scottish dork
-
D
Really good insight into the struggles he faces not only as a musician but as a person, was deeper than I thought, I’ve always wondered why every single song he makes is the most depressing song on the radio and now we know why.
