this is the second time watching this, but the first time i did was 7 years ago LOL! i remember all the good parts, so it probably wasn’t that exciting to me compared to a first-time watcher. the movie was great at the start. but after capt got his powers, i feel i woulda enjoyed it more if the movie slowly built up to the final fight. ngl the final fight was underwhelming, but the last talk with peggy was heartwarming 🥲 overall, nice way to start my rewatch of the entire MCU series. just hope i’ll enjoy the next ones more hehe

Film 5/38 – ich mach so meter wow. Ich muss den Film zuletzt vor Jahren gesehen haben, weil ich jetzt erst so viel neues bemerkt, bzw. verstanden habe. Auch an das ende konnte ich mich null erinnern, weshalb ich sehr überrascht war. Von daher lohnt sich das rewatchen. A weak man knows the value of strength and compassion.

REWATCH IN VISTA DI DOOMSDAY/SECRET WAR: Ha dei difetti evidenti: non tutti i personaggi hanno un approfondimento adeguato (Teschio Rosso incluso), la resa dei conti finale è liquidata in fretta e furia e in alcune sue componenti mostra visibilmente i segni del tempo. Ciò nonostante rimane una origin story sul personaggio godibilissima, con sequenze iconiche, una ricostruzione storica impeccabile, alcune riflessioni politiche stimolanti e un finale che ancora oggi riesce a fomentarmi come se fosse la prima volta.

oh, the bisexual panic I had the whole time looking at Peggy and Bucky. also, looks like the only movie in which Bucky remembers how to smile genuinely. and young Howard Stark is my favourite hear me out 🤤 honestly, though, this marvel movie is probably the most boring one, sorry not sorry. Captain America has the biggest plot armour ever.

De CGI van jonge Steve Rogers z’n gezicht was op momenten belachelijk slecht, maar dat was ook wel funny op zich. Vond de setting in de tweede wereldoorlog heel sick. Red Skull vind ik niet echt een top villain. Ik kijk liever Thor nog een keer dan deze film voornamelijk vanwege het magische gevoel van die film, dus vandaar een halve ster lager voor Captain America.

الفيلم صراحةً طفولي بزيادة وقصته مستهلكة وتحسّ انه مصنوع للصغار بدون أي ذرة عمق. الصراع بين الخير والشر فيه ماشي على بركة الله وبدون أي حبكة تفهمها العقل. الإخراج والمعارك تحسها لعبة بلاستيشن قديمة ومملة وخالية من أي حماس أو واقعية. باختصار، الفيلم عبارة عن استعراض بطولي مصطنع وما ينفع أبداً لشخص يبي قصة قوية من كثر ما انه طفولي لما شفته وانا صغير دمعت 1/5.

Je met 2 parce que ça reste un marvel qui présente le tout premier super-hero du MCU. MAIS j’ai une grosse haine envers le personnage de Captain America, ce mec là est moralisateur à mort, chiant et si j’avais été Peggy Carter j’aurais choisi Howard Stark qui est 100x plus frais. Il fait trop genre son rôle de superstar ne lui va pas mais il était ravi de se voir sur grand écran dans un film. M’enfin. J’ai du mal avec ce perso.

starting my mcu rewatch for doomsday, and the captain america movies are always my favorite! fun fact about me, im extremely selective about the media that i consume, i like more modern time set movies than older, and i lowkey dislike actual (like ww1, ww2) war themed movies. but it’s something about the way marvel does it that genuinely draws you in, even someone like myself who’s picky. this movie genuinely has no flaws besides horrible cgi (i’ll let it slide…

Captain America: The First Avenger is a high-charm, character-first origin story. Chris Evans is perfect as Steve Rogers, and the 1940s aesthetic gives it a unique WWII adventure feel. Great supporting turns from Hayley Atwell and Tommy Lee Jones give the film a genuine emotional core. It loses some momentum in the second half with a rushed war montage and a standard villain in Red Skull, but it’s still a solid, highly enjoyable MCU entry!!
