   A predictable yet enjoyable film that delivers on the warm feeling. I really loved how simple it was, and how it slowly revealed little details over time, letting me take in the characters’ memories bit by bit, like flipping through an old photo album. I also loved the contrast between Japan and Taiwan. Japan felt quiet and nostalgic, almost like looking back on something you’ve lost, while Taiwan was full of color and life, like those bright memories you hold onto from your youth. The way the film used vibrant colors for the past and then switched to more muted tones in the present really hit me. It felt like a visual way of showing how passion fades as you get older, and how people often look back with regret at the time they wasted. It’s a poignant message that few films have captured so accurately.

   We all have to say goodbye to each other at some point, to everybody, in things. So much of life is about letting go and realizing that nothing lasts forever. It was one of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn, and it has happened while traveling.    what’s a better thing to do than to indulge yourself in sad heartbreaking nostalgic cinema… oh to leave your footprints in the people you’ve met and places you’ve gone to… to find who you once was and truly are… also the cinematography was so beautiful it really elevated the depth of the story.

    May my travels never end. I predicted how it was gonna go with all the proper hints, but it still left me with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. It reminded me that life isn’t so bad and that we can live a life without any regrets. It’s the first movie that made me want to take a solo trip someday.

    It is nostalgic without feeling forced, and romantic without needing to overstate itself. There is something so fragile in the way this film approaches youth, the people we meet during those times and the quiet traces they leave behind.
