less “making of Arirang” and more “return to BTS”… and that’s what made it special. so human, so soft, and it made Arirang feel like more than an album..like history. “only you can make the call”..their artistry has always been theirs. home isn’t a place, it’s each other… and that hurt a little. they were anxious, but they knew what they were doing. they always do.

my blood will forever run purple and this doc just proved that to me. WITH THAT BEING SAID, all the parts of the members talking, creating, or reflecting were great. seeing them being in the studio in their element is what i want to see. even if that brings on anxiety with the weight of every decision considering the hiatus and wanting to show a new BTS without disappointing the fans. so raw, real, and understanding why they would feel that way and not a lot of artist are so candid about it. so compelling! but the doc didnt stay with that? tonally/pacing was a little all over the place. how are you going to present two main problems/plot points…

Super interessante vermos os membros se comportando fora dos palcos e isso deixa evidente a forma de pensar de cada um. Num geral é perceptível o amadurecimento deles, faz 13 anos que eles estão juntos nesse compromisso. A necessidade de arriscar e a coragem de querer fazer mesmo sabendo dos riscos é outra prova de que eles são maduros o suficiente para tomar essa decisão. Normalmente um grupo de kpop não tem a sorte de durar tanto tempo em alta…

Very average documentary unfortunately. “We’re just boys from Korea” but there’s nothing of them in Korea other than a few performance clips. Nothing about how they got where they are or who they are behind closed doors. It was cool to see a little bit of their progress but otherwise it’s a shiny, surface-level documentary wrapped up in a bow to accompany their comeback album. At least the album slaps!

¿Flipariais si os digo que me ha encantado? Obviamente no soy army, me considero más bien una baby army pero me ha entrado una nostalgia increíble al verlos a todos de pequeños, sobre todo a Jungkook, era tan pequeñín tío. Honestamente me hubiese gustado conocer a BTS cuando debutaron, algo que es imposible porque tenía tres años, pero siento que me he perdido mucho y me encantaría haberlo vivido desde antes como mi hermana.

Geri dönüşlerini izlemek çok zevkliydi fakat keşke albüm ve müzikler hakkında biraz daha ayrıntılar verilseydi çok güzel olurdu. Albüm hakkında öğrendiğimiz tek şeyin body to body hakkında kararsız olmalarıydı diğer müziklerin nasıl seçildiği hakkında bi kaç sahne izlemek isterdim. Albüm için fotoğraf çekimleri de çok az gösterildi. Fakat üyelerin birebirleriyle muhabbetlerini izlemek çok iyi hissettirdi. Eski kamera ile çekilen sahneler çok hoş bi hava katmış fakat keşke o sahneler azaltılsaydı bence daha güzel olurdu. Yine de Arirang albümünün yapılışını izlemek çok keyif vericiydi.

No es un documental muy entretenido, para ser Netflix, me gusta. La producción es muy buena. Es difícil dar una opinión profunda del proceso en el que han hecho su nuevo álbum. A lo mejor, alguien que sea muy pero muy fan de BTS puede dar más detalles que no esté viendo, pero no veo mucho por aquí que comentar. Aparte de lo que ha hecho dicho.

When the new album dropped, I remember seeing buzz on TwitterX talking about how meaningful it was that BTS featured traditional Korean choir singing and percussion instruments in a song (Body to Body)… it was cool learning about the specific song they sampled and the historical and cultural significance of those details. Also, it was funny to see all the guys with ‘normal’, un-styled black hair. I like that natural, ‘anonymous civilian’ look on them, but it makes me understand…

Lo que más me gusto es ver a los protas expresarse y se expresaron tanto que básicamente dijeron que salieron de la cárcel del servicio militar para entrar a la cárcel del kpop y nombe es tristísimo 🙂 Lo medio mmm es lo rápido que deshacen el conflicto del docu ajajajaj like los respeto, pero cómo así que todo resultó en 2 minutos pa justifique su respuesta.

I recently became a fan of BTS after I went to a BTS party with my friends last month and I have been trying to consume everything that they put out. I love their new album so it was great seeing their process in making it. I wanted it to be longer, and I don’t say that about a lot of films, but I feel like I wanted to know more about how they came up with the lyrics and music. I really loved this film and I can’t wait to see them in concert this year! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Para quem acompanha o BTS há quase 10 anos, esse documentário é uma das formas mais sinceras e emocionantes de ver os meninos. É impossível não olhar para tudo o que viveram e perceber o quanto cresceram, amadureceram e evoluíram ao longo dessa jornada. Tenho um orgulho imenso de tudo o que construíram juntos e, principalmente, do laço que os sete compartilham. É tão bonito ver que, mesmo quando seguem caminhos diferentes por um tempo, sempre encontram o caminho de volta uns para os outros. Não tenho muito mais a dizer além de, que orgulho ter acompanhado parte dessa história 💜🥹

I completely understand and respect the directors decision on waiting for Jin to be back from tour before beginning filming of the documentary. It’s unfortunate though, that most of the work on the songs was completely glossed over. This documentary for me just doesn’t feel like it’s complete.
