“The pilots are dead?” – June “Shot.” – Roy “Shot… By who?” – June “Uh, me. Actually, I shot the first pilot… he shot the second pilot accidentally. It’s just… one of those things.” – Roy James Mangold’s well-packaged action-adventure is one very enjoyable popcorn-muchin’ treat with Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz making a fine duo.

This to me is the perfect summer blockbuster. It’s just soo much fun. And Tom cruise and cameron diaz as a pair is just charming and an absolute delight to watch. It’s also very much re-watchable.

Since all of Tom cruise’s films are action films, I forgot that I saw this film and I watched again to remember 😭😭😭😭

A very funny and entertaining spy flick with some of the tropes flipped on its head. Feels like a bunch of cutscenes of a video game put together whenever the character’s drugged. The movie lost its momentum halfway through. The scene when June was injected with truth serum was particularly funny.

Meu….

I guess i never knew i needed Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz as a duo.Literally hot and hotter.Lately I realized how many of these action-romance-comedies there are and i eat them up EVERY time. The scene where she’s like “you don’t look like you’d miss me…” and him risking all his aura+being shoot by a bullet,to go kiss her was peak! Btw if anyone would know any movie where she is the FBI agent, spy or whatever, please tell me🙏🏻

Film #11 of finishing Tom Cruise’s filmography before Digger releases. Cruise is in his familiar stoic immortal secret agent role, but Diaz’s inept shallow character is just irritating and far too tropey. Also, Cruise’s character repeatedly drugs her, knocks her unconscious, and abducts her, and its all framed as very romantic, leaving a nasty misogynist taste to the central romance. That with a nothing plot full of tropes (some gadget, its nerdy inventor) makes for a very unsatisfying experience. Some funny lines and decent action. Extra half star off for the Gal Gadot jumpscare.

An action-comedy that knows exactly what it is and doesn’t pretend to be an inch more. It has practically everything you want from a glossy spy thriller: globe-trotting adventure, shadowy clandestine agencies, ridiculous world-changing stakes, surprisingly riveting action, and, of course, the mandatory scene of Tom Cruise sprinting for his life. Plus, Cameron Diaz is endlessly charming and funny here, holding her own against Cruise’s unhinged energy with perfect comedic timing. It’s wildly entertaining from start to finish. Is it…

-
T
Plot and story wise, this isn’t anything too special, but I had fun. It’s a goofy action adventure with two very likable leads that have great chemistry. There’s a car chase early on that was probably my favorite part of the movie, where Roy is waiting for June to open the door of the car she’s driving. That scene with him hopping on top of a bunch of different cars felt like it was out of a cartoon in the best way, lmao.

hilarious film. if you are looking for a romantic comedy, that keeps you engaged this is a great one. when it has tom cruise, you know its going to be full of surprises… AND action. some parts towards the beginning can be a little bit slow, but once you understand the plot is has you hooked until the very end. highly recommend when you are wanting a feel good movie to keep you entertained. i love how it has romance,…

“No one follows us or I kill myself and then her.” I don’t care what anyone say this film is such a fun watch and I’m shocked more people don’t talk about it. I remember watching it on tv as a kid and loving it and rewatching it now it still holds up, it is just a really fun action comedy film. The film is carried by the great dynamic between Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, they have really good…

Good movie I felt like pacing was off and some twist that were very easy to see coming. Of course acting was quite good with the weakest probably being the antagonist. It’s really hard to dislike anything that Tom is in.

K
Yeah this film isn’t very good. I don’t mind an action comedy starring Tom Cruise but the end result is something that isn’t very consistent and one of his weakest as an actor overall. While it definitely adds sufficient entertainment, the quality and narrative are very low without much essence going for the film leading to a pretty forgettable action comedy. This is Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise’s second collaboration after Cameron Crowe’s Vanilla Sky but I cannot say whether…

The comedy is gold. The movie is so funny. It is highly budgeted for something so ridiculous. I laughed a lot I love it. I don’t ship. I really don’t and the girl was a pawn but that fact made it funny too. I can’t with Tom’s comedy here. I have never seen him so crazy.

Temu True Lies. Which isn’t to say it’s cheap, but it does many of the same things so much worse. I did admittedly laugh out loud multiple times between prolonged sections of disinterest, plus the Gal Gadot casting jump scare woke me up a bit. But it’s no wonder I’d instantly forgotten so much of this on first viewing.

It was a pretty good spy caper.
-
E
Knight and Day is a good enough little action comedy from James Mangold. The big reason to watch this film is the central pairing of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz (who previously worked together on Cameron Crowe’s 2001 film Vanilla Sky), who have a great frenemy/romantic chemistry with one another. There are also some nice action sequences and decent laughs, but the plot is quite generic and it didn’t leave much of a mark on me. Though my dad really likes this film, and I think this is one of his favourite Tom Cruise films.
