I liked the part when Sebastián stuck his rod inside a man Edit: I posted this around 2 am and I was half asleep when I wrote it and I really regret it now so just pretend you didn’t see anything

Netflix keeps cancelling good shows so they can make bullshit sequels? Is that what’s going on here? Please, make it stop. This has to be one of the most pointless sequels I’ve seen in a while. The actors actually did great, and the cast is the main reason I even watched this, but what was this story? And the decision to try to explain the mystery of what’s going on? Why? The mystery of Bird Box (film AND novel) was a big part of what made it scary. Also, a very odd choice of a protagonist character here. The movie gained some momentum in the second half, especially towards the end, but it was too little, too late.

I love how the movie started with somewhat a normal family, just trying to survive and get through all of the hell that they were goin through. But as you go further throughout the movie, you’ll realize that the main character isn’t a normal character. He’s trying to “save” the people that he and his daughter believe would go to heaven. You’ll see that he is clearly in the wrong side, but that is what makes the movie more interesting.…

Kinda disappointing that a good first movie is followed by a religious horror movie It could have been A Quiet Place-like second movie, where we see how it happens somewhere else But no 🧍

“𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞.” The original movie was already a mixed bag for me, this one even more so. Don’t get me wrong, it’s cool to follow a seer as our main character, but his sudden switch up near the end just didn’t really make that much sense? I also found the film to be somewhat bland. I feel like they didn’t really use the setting of Barcelona to it’s fullest extent, it just ended up feeling like any…

I was really glad when I watched this how they put (a new) but familiar spin on the same universe. And it wasn’t written badly either, it really tapped into the psychology of what was happening inside the main characters and how it effected his view on the world around him. Great film, it’s what you’d expect.

A bit boring I will say. I liked how there wasn’t a creature reveal I like the mystery and intrigue of it all. That being said I didn’t love the creature POV’s and it growling?? It made it feel more like a monstery flick than like an alien or supernatural flick which I vibed with more. Actually I could get behind the monster if it’s actually cool and not just like a bunch of fangs (biblical angel vibes). Actually I take it back keep it invisible.

actually ini movie yg bikin tegang, aku kira pemeran utamanya baik ternyata beliau yg ga waras, untung di akhir agak waras, tapi end nya gantung bngtt, pengen tau mereka bikin percobaan itu bakal berhasil atau engga 🧐

B
what a pointless sequel. takes everything that made Bird Box interesting and somehow makes it boring, predictable, and painfully forgettable. could’ve just not existed tbh.
-

Nobody wanted a film like this, and it wasn’t necessary either. Besides, the script is extremely weak. If a second film absolutely had to be made, it should have been a sequel to the first.
