Before Mike and Will, there was Gordie and Chris. Shows the importance of childhood friendships and the emotional bonds that define us. A movie I’m glad my parents made me watch when I was younger. Funny and heartfelt- I love it.

Stand by me is such a precious film to me. It’s like a reminder of where I am now and a reminder to not forget yesterday. I see myself, with the friends who I have now, friends worth having, worth loving. I’m grateful, because there was a time when the friends I had wouldn’t do the same as what I would for them, and it’s better to realise the worth of who your with before it hurts too much.
