The acting got real stale in this one, but overall i like this Phoenix story more than the phoenix story from the last stand. At least the action scenes were actually pretty good. Definitely not the most offensive movie to come from this franchise. Maybe top 3 worst? Probably the most soulless so far. Also i was expecting this to be way worst because its the only xmen movie i missed and everyone said it was trash. Glad my expectations were as low as possible.

My father-in-law is an early 2000s superhero makeup artist. It is difficult to get his attention in a magnificent x-men film while there are blue mutants on screen because he is lost in wonder. We were in a screening of X-men: Dark phoenix together years ago and I asked him what it would cost to do the original mystique’s makeup today. I will never forget his answer… ‘We can’t, we don’t know how to do it.’

Esta es la mejor película de los x-men hasta el momento. No hace falta que aparezca Logan. Jean Grey totalmente increíble, es la mutante definitiva. Los trajes son una cagada pero todo lo demás está muy bien.

Just bad. Awful corny repetitive dialogue. This version of Jean might be the worst written character in the franchise. It felt like not a single actor on this cast wanted to be there. Which is sad cos they’re all so fierce and sexy. The fight scenes were fun but that’s about it. “My emotions make me strong” being her last words has to be a joke.

Okay so everyone hates on this movie, but I was just happy to watch Jean Grey’s powers come to life. It was pretty cool. As always, these x-men movies fall short on the storyline and dialogue but this wasn’t the worst of them.

This is somehow the ONLY X-Men movie to have no redeeming traits, at least Last Stand had funny bad writing that was well acted, this just has REALLY bad writing and mediocre acting from the newbies. It is quite literally on par with War of The Worlds (2025)

why is it that the only time cyclops unleashes his full extent of his beams in the entirety of all x men films for one single scene in X men origins: wolverine. His eyes are actual portals to another dimension of pure concussive force yet out of 10 whole movies we only see the most of its power for a few seconds. really hope they utilize him more in the reboot.
