I
imagine being quill when he finally opened the present and saw awesome mix vol 2 and realised he’s spent at least 26 years listening to the same songs over and over again when he had a whole other collection in a drawer on his ship. i’d crack a window and scream into the open galaxy p.s. I love this film so so so fuckin much!!! p.p.s SO FUCKIN MUCH!!!!

I’m shocked they hired Vin Diesel to say, “I am Groot” numerous times and earned millions from it. It seems he received the easiest role of his life

I cried. This is perfect. I am Groot. Nothing goes over Drax’s head. He has excellent reflexes. Rocket isn’t a raccoon. I am Groot. Star Lord? WHO? Sexy Aliens. I want The Inhumans film now. Stan Lee is a perv. Great film. I actually cried, genuine tears and the guy next to me too. He was crying, and we were crying and then we hugged because the film was so awesome and it’s so emotional that I have actually seen this. I am Groot. I am crying. This is great. I don’t even care. Fuck you. The soundtrack is great and each of the characters are great too. Marvel’s risk of actually making this film gives me great pleasure. And…

I’ve been rewatching the whole mcu and that movie after the boring Thor and the too serious captain America is like a breath of fresh air. It was dynamic, maybe a bit easy and very ‘friendship is magic’ but il fine with it. I also think that the relationship between Quill and Gamora moves too fast, I would have preferred for quill to risk his life for rocket instead, it would mean so much more. But anyways, a nice watch.

Could give it a 4 but it constantly change aspect ratio really fucks my autism, main crew is really entertaining and I like yondu

This movie is so fun, this movie genuinely defined marvel going forward. It also makes me cry. All of the guardians movies make me cry.
-
T
“what has the galaxy ever done for you? why would you wanna save it?” “because i’m one of the idiots who lives in it!” why is this genuinely one of bradley cooper’s best roles. asking for a friend james gunn is such an interesting writer to me (and a great director all around, but that goes without saying) – i won’t unpack it all here, but there are definitely moments here where his dialogue specifically feels incredibly clunky and it…

It’s incredible how amazing this movie is. How they managed to take 5 of the most unknown comic book characters and turn them into 5 of the most beloved in the Marvel universe. How the characters are developed, the music, the relationships, the scenes, the creativity, everything. Even if you’re not a fan of the Marvel universe, you’ll like it. Because it basically uses characters that nobody knew, and within the film, they are empty characters. And the movie transforms them into real heroes. In a team. It’s gotta be my favorite Marvel Movie. And one of my all-time favorite movies.

James Gunn turns these relatively unknown comic characters into proper MCU super heroes by introducing the latest addition to phase 2. It was amazing to watch then, and it’s still great now. And my kids are in love with Groot.

what a peak film, AMAZING SOUNDTRACK, FANTASTIC CHARACTERS, INSANELY COMEDIC, it’s just so complete. guardians of the galaxy introduces some really important characters and plot points which lead into some of the best marvel films created. the importance of this movie combined with how incredibly well it was executed puts this up there with the greats of the franchise. also, it introduces the DEFINITIVE BEST CHARACTER IN MARVEL, ROCKET THE RACCOON, the absolute GOAT. without a doubt 5/5

3 too many goofs. I still found it pretty good but it is hard to get invested into the villain when the team is goofing off too much. 3.75 out of 5 stars

COUNTDOWN TO DOOMSDAY: WE ARE GROOOOOOOOOT. Man this movie is another banger coming off Winter Soldier. The core cast of characters here is unbelievable and what James Gunn was able to do to turn these unknown heroes into house hold names in the MCU has gotta be studied. The visuals are amazing, the writing is top notch, the chemistry is bonding, and the soundtrack is pure bliss. The villain was not too bad but its hard to compare him when…

We might be looking at Guardians of the Galaxy now with the Oppenheimer stare, but golly this is still very good. It’s become a blueprint for a reason. How about that visual effects team? The MCU might have some shoddy VFX from time to time, but the Guardians films are always world class.

I will never forget my first time watching this. I got the blu ray for my birthday, went in completely blind and came out a changed person. The charm this movie has is unlike any other MCU movie, or any superhero movie. Its such a random group of characters that the general audience didn’t know, but everyone fell in love with them because of how well written they were. From the amazing soundtrack to one of the best groups of characters ever, it’s just phenomenal start to finish. I truly don’t know if another MCU movie can ever top this for me.

The Road To Doomsday: This film holds a special place in my heart. I vividly remember the first time I ever watched this film. My dad drove both of us to an AMC theater. I had no idea what we were going to watch. amo esse filme fazia tempo q eu n via mas eu gosto mt pelo oq ele representa pro universo da marvel dps do filme dos vingadores onde eles juntam um ze ruela da terra e órfão, um cara q leva tudo ao pé da letra, um guaxinim inseguro q n liga pros outros, uma árvore q so fala uma frase e um mulher verde filha adotiva de um tita louco e todos eles se juntam e se dao bem com…

Kind of insane I haven’t seen this. I never had a ton of interest in these characters over most of the main avengers, but there’s no doubt they’re fun. The movie had a good story with humor, some really cool shots, and plenty of action. 8/10.
-
E
What do I dislike about this movie? I can’t think so imma js give it a 5
-
M

Yeah the rest of the MCU is fun and all but the real stars of the show are finally here. I will always be a James Gunn fan. If I have to describe Guardians of the Galaxy 1, its a simple meal very well made. And thats why it works. First of all this movie has so much personality to it! I adore how this movie looks, its so saturated and colorful. Especially in comparison to the Russo brothers trademark…

Genuinely marvel peak, excluding avengers movie this has gotta be top 5. James Gunn just gets superheroes movie man, it’s exactly what you want, without being extremely cringey. He took a bunch of b/c tier actors and helped produce great performances from them, achieving generational wealth. The best, top actor (overall) in this film is a talking racccon who you wouldn’t even recognize it’s him.

não curto filmes de heróis, mas esse foi daora, toda essa relação “família” deles é muito bonita, os efeitos especiais são bem legais e as músicas, nem se falam.
-
T
Absolutely some of the best team chemistry and banter in the MCU. Witty jokes and strong performances from the entire team. The movie has the right mix of emotion and playfulness, and the retro-style music perfectly ties it all together. The villain felt slightly formulaic, but tbh it didn’t take away from the Guardians. The movie certainly stands out in the franchise

Road to doomsday- #10 Guardians of the galaxy: (2014) Another banger rights after captain americs lowkey. It’s funny, it’s something different that we honestly needed within the mcu and exploring more of space then just asgard. The music throughout this movie is sososo good I can’t describe how much I love it action scenes are amazing too with no acts of the film really dragging for long. Drax is honestly my favourite character in this movie tied with quill or gamora. Overall an amazing watch.

hot take: I lowkenuinley got kinda bored in the middle of it, I think it’s because the plot is kinda predictable BUT NEVERTHELESS I liked the ending and the soundtrack is one of the best ive ever heard
-
M
GOTG is a breath of fresh air kind of a movie where I know nothing about the characters, lore or the story. James Gunn delivers the best writing to the movie by giving these outcasts love and heart. It blends the space adventure with the comedy very well. It also utilized the 70s/80s soundtrack to create an emotional weight to the film as well.
