My favorite part of this film is when old man Obi-Wan Kenobi does a completely unnecessary 360 move during that one lightsaber duel. That shit was so funny. My man has so much swag

Usually I don’t rewatch movies unless I’m preparing to make a video on them, or I’m showing them to someone who hasn’t seen them before. Tonight I just said “Fuck it, I’m watching Star Wars by myself for no reason other than it being Star Wars.” We all deserve a treat sometimes. Star Wars fucking rules.

the shocking part about this movie is the way it was made in the 1970s,despite having technology that was primitive compared with today’s standards, they somehow managed to create something that still looks genuinely impressive. The fact that so much of it was done with miniature models and motion-controlled cameras makes it even more insane. Use the Force, Luke. Let go.

Revolutionary film at the time. This is the movie that created the entire Star Wars universe and helped make Sci-Fi the genre it is today. George Lucas absolutely cooked on these first 3 movies.

No matter how old this film gets it’s still such a visually stunning film at times, the binary sunset is still one of the best shots in fiction and perfectly sets the tone for the movie. The story is great and characters are consistently interesting and likeable.

Wowza. Such a switch up of vibe from Revenge of the Sith. This is so much deeper on all levels. Set design, the personalities of the leads and their progression, their relationships, the pacing; all of it was sick. Granted my ratings did go up in an exponential line after my best mate came round and provided goods. All i will also say is the cgi really took away from the vibe in places, like it really released loads of the immersion in a way that felt so tacky. genuinely why do this? and where can i see the actual originals coz i would pay dollar.

62. S

    sohailr19 8 月 22, 2026

Some of the spaceship scenes here look better than the CGI ones in the prequels lol. I forgot there’s actually blood in this film from like dismembered limbs and scorched bodies from fires. Why didn’t we get any of that in the prequels or sequels The influence from the dune books is very obvious in the tattooine section of this movie but after that the creativity from George Lucas is actually insane how does one think of all of this
