In one scene, Grey reminds Anna to remember her safe word. He then ties her down and performs oral sex on her. Unless he’s abominably bad at oral sex, she’s never going to use that safe word. On the other hand, I tried using the safe word, but the movie kept going.

What the actual bum. Half a star, purely because some of the shit was actually funny when they weren’t meant to be. Don’t watch this if you need vanilla movies in your life. A sense of masochism is required to enjoy this. (What whiplash, by the way. Whiplash and now this in the same day. Haha, I’m so funny.) 🍍

Well crafted and thought out dialogue “What are butt plugs?” Great line conveying innocence. Inclusive to to a none bdsm audience. Helps create a pop culture comedic effect leading to the movies popularity. Also allows the movie to create branded merch butt plugs. Again well thought out execution.

Honestly impressive to make a movie revolving around sex have so little eroticism. Anastasia Steele (real name) is just the most misogynistic characterization I’ve ever seen bruh. She’s like 24 and has to have everything explained to her like she’s a baby. It’s dumbfounding how this script was approved. Also they clearly had some horrible lighting problems. Over the shoulder shots would flip back and forth and look like they belonged to different movies. Fuck this sex movie that somehow feels puritanical. Fuck it hard. Laters baby. Bdsm, bad, dumb, shitty movie. Remember the flogger from Shi No Numa?
