   Bear was a r@pist. Periodt. Ian was a snake of a friend who encouraged Bear to pursue her, even though he was hooking up with Nikki. Sarah was a classic pick-me, “one of the boys” girl. OH MY POOR GIRL NIKKI, CRYING AND BEGGING TO BE PUT DOWN, BECAUSE SHE COULDN’T TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE.

    What hit me most about Obsession is that a day later, I still cannot stop thinking about it. And I think that’s because the film is operating on a much smarter level than its premise initially suggests. This is the kind of setup that could have gone wrong in so many obvious ways. It could have become broad “hashtag cinema,” where the creepy possessive guy simply learns a lesson about toxic masculinity. It also could have accidentally drifted into ugly territory where the film frames the woman as somehow deserving punishment for “friend-zoning” him, as if she had been manipulating his feelings all along.     It’s been a few months since i’ve seen this. I still check the corner of my room for Nicky. this movie scared me to my CORE. I think from a girls perspective, this movie genuinely hits a different. not having autonomy of your body… actually makes me sick to think about. BEAR can absolutely die. after he hears Nicky BEG for him to kill her… and makes it about himself. No thanks. This is one of those movies that is so visually amazing and makes you forget that you’re watching from a screen. 10/10 but cannot watch it again for the sake of being schizophrenic.

    De très bonnes idées et le film répond brillamment à son objectif cad nous mettre dans un état de stress et de peur constant. Film assez prévisible et scénario facile toutefois. En mini série ça aurait été top pour prendre le temps et exploiter au mieux l’univers.

    FUCKING. HELL. That was horrifying. I somehow had NO idea going in that this was going to be so scary I genuinely jumped out of my skin at every jumpscare and had to pause frequently whenever some slow tense scene came on to brace myself from what ever horror or inevitable jumpscare I would have to experience next. This is probably the most terrified for my life I’ve ever been whilst watching something 😭 Honestly lost all sympathy I had towards Bear the second they showed him using chatgpt like lmao fuck him I’m not American enough to even take that stupid name seriously anyways 💀

    J’ai vu peu de films d’horreur mais celui là est celui qui m’a fait le plus peur DE LOIN. Je me suis chié dessus tout le film (comme dans le film lol). J’ai même crié pour la scène de la voiture 😋. Je trouve la plus part les films d’horreur prévisibles et là justement ses actions sont tellement imprévisibles que tu t’attends à une dinguerie à tout moment et au final c’est pas ce à quoi tu pensais 🥳. La fin est classique mais c’est ok 👻

    Really enjoyed this. Logically upped the stakes bit by bit until it hits you with a brick (hehe). Inde Navarette – a star! I can see why more “respectable” actresses are turning to horror: because it’s fun! Apparently the YouTuber director wrote the movie after doing the Aaron Sorkin Masterclass which is quite charming. RIP Ian the one good billionaire.

    Esse filme me fez tanta mas tanta raiva que assim que eu terminei eu tava considerando dar 1 estrela e ai percebi que ele cumpriu exatamente ao que se propõe que é fazer você passar raiva e agonia.     10/10 don’t want to watch again. The way this indie film discusses such a nuanced topic in such a discreet way is part of the reason I love it so much. Inde Navarrette’s character Nikki is portrayed so beautifully that I am still scared she is going to appear out of the dark. This movie is so disturbing it’s perfect

    i loved how freaked out we were when we both watched this movie together, i expected the movie to be corny at first but i was actually amazed by the cinematic quality and acting of both inde and michael. I think my favorite scene would be when nicky smashed sarah’s head and the scene i hated the most would probably be when bear and nicky were doing it and she just looked so lifeless, it makes me think ab the genuine horror of SA in the real world.

    I really enjoyed this film, and I am so in awe of how good a film it is given the extremely low budget that it had. It was creepy in a way that I didn’t expect, and I really enjoyed Inde Naverette’s performance; it is definitely the start of a successful acting career for her.
