This musical had such an insane grip on me when I was in high school. I’d rewatch it several times a week, exclusively listen to the soundtrack, and dreamed of myself playing the role of P.T. Barnum. With that being said, the movie itself is alright. The music definitely takes the cake over the actual plot, and I found that the ending was extremely rushed. There was hardly any time between the fire & the rebuilding -> Hugh Jackman passing off the role of ringleader to Zac Efron. 7.4/10

Oh baby again, you bet you butt again. This has got to be my favourite musical of all time I’m not gonna lie. I bought this on 4k probably about 3 months ago and I’m finally watching it on a 75” oled tv and my god it looks amazing. It’s never looked this good ever, and the soundtrack don’t even get me started, I can listen to it over and over. From the first time I watched it in cinema, to now it makes me cry and makes me smile. I love this movie from the bottom of my heart.

i was too tired to log earlier, but i just wanted to say that i enjoy this less and less each time i rewatch it. it has its moments, but i’m kind of over them now. pt barnum wasnt a good person in real life, so to have a movie portraying him like he was some saviour and great person for unique people when in actuality he exploited them is strange. idk why i felt the need to write all of this, it’s just been bothering me each time. never enough is still a fire song tho, so there’s that i guess

I loved this film. I don’t know, but I love good visuals in movies and life in every scene. This has everything. I was sure sometimes that I would have an epileptic episode from the colours. Let me burst into song because my life has gone to shit and it’s my fault. The plot wasn’t something extraordinary but the songs where what did it to me. Even though everything wasn’t very good on its own, it’s what brought it together…
