In my junior year of high school we had to watch this movie in health class and write a paper on Lightning McQueen’s character growth and how he forms healthy relationships with the people around him over the course of the movie. So that was fun

So I have a couple questions… Why does Lightning McQueen have a tongue? How does money work in this world? Cars can be seen using men and women’s restrooms. What are they doing in the bathroom? Why are they gendered? Are cars built or born? How do they become sentient? If they’re born, how? How is Mater able to use his rear view mirrors when they’re behind his eyes? Why do cars have passenger doors? Despite no humans existing, they seem to be designed for humans to drive them? The VW van references listening to Hendrix. Is this human Jimi Hendrix or a car Jimi Hendrix. If it’s car Hendrix, how is he able to play guitar? Similarly, how are…

Sexiest movie ever made. Nothing more sensual than metal on metal, broom broom goes the engine baby and I’m revving for more. Gestural and sensual and everything cinema can and should be.

I loved it this is my first time I’ve ever seen cars it was really good but when McQueen gets to radiator springs it does slow down a little bit for me like the first half he’s there it’s fine but the second half is pretty slow it does pick up when he finds out. Doc won three piston cups after that it does just slow down a little bit until Sally and McQueen are talking about when this town…

Watched this for the first time at 19. I was genuinely blown away by how nuanced the characters were and some of the creativity of the world they’re in. I can see why it’s so popular, and I would absolutely watch this as a fully grown adult…

The absolute GOAT of children’s movies. This movie is genuinely perfect. That final race was just epic. The rookie, the villain, and the good guy all competing in the same race to win the big one. And then the Hudson Hornet comes back as the rookie’s coach. Just brilliantly and epically done. Everything is executed so perfectly, which is why this movie absolutely deserves 5 stars overall.

“On your marks, get set… uno for the money, due for the show, tre to get ready, and quattro to… I can’t believe it… go!” Cars is a fun Pixar movie, but on rewatch, it just doesn’t hit quite like the movies that came before it. Firstly, I really like the world Pixar creates here. It’s neat, creative and somehow manages to make the idea of a world full of cars feel completely natural. Within minutes of watching, you just…

It has really been 20 years since this film came out. I saw this in theaters when it released… 😬 For one of the weaker films during Pixar’s golden age, I really appreciate the sincerity the original Cars has in making you witness Lightning McQueen become more selfless over the course of the film’s runtime. While I like Cars 3 a lot more than I thought I would during this marathon, the original stands head and shoulders over everything in the trilogy. While I was never the biggest fan of this franchise, I cannot say I wasn’t impacted by this film on some level.

This is one of the greatest animated movies I’ve ever watched, the story is very well written and actually portrays character development better than most live action movies. The animation style is chill, the scenes are beautiful and the dialogue is impactful. The movie delivers some great messages in a very entertaining way. The concept though not completely original feels fresh and the music is great.

Aside from laying on wet grass, having ppl talk through the movie, and it feeling like 45 degrees outside, it did not deter my experience! I love this movie more than I thought. Makes me emotional, happy, and wonder how the cars use currency and have families. I used to not like this movie but I could not tell you why, it’s great! I also had the best nostalgia: we watched the movie on a dvd player on a projector…

I was really conscious of the fact that this was almost 2 hours long, I think there were too many plot threads going on at once. I’m also not a car guy at all, so the world and the characters just didn’t do anything for me. I will say that the landscapes looked pretty nice, I do have a soft spot for that part of the US.

Probably the greatest movie of all time . probably saw this over 100 times . It was goated when I was 4 and it’s still goated now that I’m 16 and will still be goated when I’ll be 74 with skin cancer . The first 20 mins set the movie in a great direction, where a voice shouts on a black screen and racecars zoom everywhere. “I am speed” holyyyyyyyyyyyy. The scene where mack knocks off and the neon spoiler…

- Synopsis
- Lightning McQueen, a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs.
