Oh, what a deliciously horrific idea this movie was! Considering that a sequel to Tim Burton’s 2010 ludicrously profitable “Alice in Wonderland” has been inevitable since that movie crossed $1 billion at the global box office, the only surprising thing about “Alice Through the Looking Glass” is that it took so long. Perhaps Disney was giving audiences a reprieve, or perhaps they were just allowing us enough time to forget how unpleasant the first film was, plying us with quality in the meantime. “Here, have a good new ‘Star Wars’ movie. They really said “Lets end this silly spinoff live action movie with the literal end of the entire universe.” Once again, wonderful art direction and soundtrack throughout. The costuming in particular was very fun and eccentric. The characters both returning and new were such a treat all around. I wish it was a bit more connected to the previous film or the original, but being it’s own thing is certianly welcome. I’m really sad they’ll likely never make another one of these because they really are such fun and imaginative films.

De mis películas favoritas de tim burton. La trama es de mis partes preferidas, esta es muy dinámica a mi parecer y creo que analizándola desde diferentes puntos podemos apreciarla como arte. Alicia siento que está muy bien interpretada ya que creo que muestra la sencillez, dulzura y a la vez la valentía y la madurez de la Alicia mayor. El sombrero es mi favorito por su única forma de ver el mundo.

I love how every character has their depth and complexity, twist of emotions, getting stirred, it feels like the sisters r drowning in a loop that they couldn’t solve, or didn’t. for years. or I dont know what I’m saying anymore.
