You’ve got a lot of heart, kid. Aged like milk left outside of fridge on a hot summer day. Thank God for the supporting cast with the exception of Oldman who appears to be experiencing some sort of an psychotic episode and whose scenes have some of the worst lines in the entire film. Don’t get me started on the famous Hopper/Walken scene, which appears to exist solely to feature as many uses of that disgusting word as possible. I know a lot of people don’t like Zimmer’s score, but I think it’s very memorable and whimsical and the cinematography is often lovely. But that’s about it. It’s painfully obvious it’s written by an eternal manchild who self-inserted as the…

Erstarrt in Pose. Tony Scott war Werbefilmer und das weist er hier viel zu lange nach. Verwechselt Breitbeinigkeit mit Stil.

Perhaps a tamer predecessor to Natural Born Killers. I liked it. The cast was absolutely stacked and the finale was epic. Also, the goofy tropical score that played throughout the movie was just so funny to me.

This movie was a wild ride, this film has like a Oppenheimer level cast. Really enjoyed this one really engaging story that’s both at times really brutal and really funny. But I gotta say this is the worst Hans Zimmer soundtrack I’ve ever heard.

Holy fucking cast. You obviously got Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette crushing it but the amount of stars killing small roles is ridiculous. Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman (the best cameo in my opinion), Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, the dad from Good Luck Charlie, etc. It is absolutely ridiculous. There’s a handful of scenes where the ensemble is perfectly done. I also weirdly liked how simple yet catchy the main score of this was. It…

i look back and am amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record: you’re so cool, you’re so cool, you’re so cool. tiene una cosa increíble esta peli, es tan encantadora que no sé como catalogarla. capaz la historia ya ha sido vista antes pero es tan efectiva en este filme, t entretiene demasiado. t amo clarence sos un romántico y alabama dios t amo.…

The dialogue was great, that final scene was hilariously ridiculous but I loved it. Really enjoyed this film. Gary Oldman- didn’t recognise him at first but such a great part from him. Same with Brad Pitt so funny.

Loved every concept, it just felt rushed. Classic Tarantino bits, but the satisfaction didn’t quite reach.

– James Gandolfini’s audition tape for sopranos – First half pace was perfect – Great casting. – Loved the cop dad scenes – funny mallets background soundtrack to keep things light – Classic Tarantino style of giving every character a dialogue led to a slower latter half that didn’t feel intriguing. – Love Patricia

Crazy, violent, romantic, and stylish as hell. I loved the chemistry and the whole vibe, and that song is fucking beautiful.

Great cast. One of Tony Scott’s best movies. Initially a box office failure the positive movies helped it earn a cult following. Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini and Val Kilmer were great. Quentin Tarantino won the ALFS Award for newcomer of the year at LFCC. James was invited to audition for Tony Soprano after Susan Fitzgerald saw a short clip of his performance.

35mm @ Metrograph C’mon! This is what movies used to look like! Everyone on their absolute A-game for Tony! Gandolfini! Sizemore coked out his mind! Hopper v Walken! Pitt staking his claim! Arquette a powerhouse! Drexel to Jackson Lamb – when we talk about range, this needs to be studied! We had a harpist play the love theme at our wedding! Ain’t nothing but five stars for me!!

I see why this move grips boys in their teens and 20s by the balls. I bet I would be enchanted by it too if I first saw it at a younger age and was male. It has all the trappings and flourishes and surprises a younger and simpler brain can be wowed by. If you’ve lived some life, though, it’s just not as sparkly. I had fun for sure watching it with a crowd tonight, but man it doesn’t…

Divertido, engraçado. Tarantino. A música do filme peca um pouco, e as coisas se desencadeam muito afobadamente, um filme legal que segue os mesmos padrões do tarantino só que com algumas coisas estranhas..

Mostly quite fun, until it becomes painfully obvious that Tarantino wrote this film. Slater, Arquette, and Gandolfini all give especially good performances. Walken is pretty astonishingly checked out for his one scene. Best in its last half hour.

This was fun, music was great and a vibe. Big ending shootout was kinda wtv but it’s very fun movie. Might also be the most like insane cast I’ve seen, credits start the movie and it’s just big name after big name.

THE PERSIAN DISS???? AND THE WHOLE THEATER LAUGHED…….. FUCK YOU METROGRAPH On one hand I hated some choices (mostly writing), on the other hand I fucking love movies set in LA, on the other hand bob duncan with a ponytail and a rifle, on the other hand I laughed so hard. So campy Also imagine I walked into this only with the knowledge that it’s part of the gary oldman series metrograph is doing with no context what his character is…… nothing could’ve prepared me……… #woke0

this movie was so fun! I’m kicking myself I couldn’t watch it on the big screen however i do have personal beef with hans zimmer deciding to run with the ps2 beach level bongo island music every 30 seconds

The real reason Tarantino doesn’t like Boogie Nights is because PTA did the climactic drug deal scene so much better. It’s the Big Red Machine of 90s movie casts.

Crazy ensemble cast. Bob Duncan is lit. Rapaport jumpscare. Trailer scene was all time. Wasn’t expecting to see a Gandolfini x Pitt interaction Good film

This felt like all of Tarantino’s favorite bits stitched together for two hours. The scene where the two cops enter their bosses room talking at the same time was the funniest shit I’ve seen in a minute Elite dad watch

IT IS EXACTLY TRUE ROMANCE Patricia Arquette’s one toughhh mf And Christian Slater plays a good husband; I love that Mickey and Mallory shit Watching this as a child was traumatic, but watching now feels quite different and, honestly, better And the Elvis shit is fire as hell So cool 😎

A combination of action and romance that made the story compelling. Gary Oldmans character was great for all the wrong reasons. The dialogue is distinctively Tarantino which could be good and bad. I really enjoyed the performances all around. A good watch.

-
K
Super solid movie characters were great super entertaining and directing was great ofc although it’s co directed by tarantino it very much feels like one of his movies. Acting was also super good I love alabama who’s also in lost highway. Overall i can’t really find much to knock this movie there is a bit of plot armor but that’s okay. I feel like it balanced comedy and seriousness well where both can be enjoyed however neither were super outstanding…
-
G
I can’t believe they only gave us one scene of a perfect Walken.
-
F
A Tony Scott directed Quentin Tarantino script with a Hans Zimmer score and a great cast of side characters? Say less.
-
J
Gives the white trash Detroit vibes that make you wish the city truly collapsed. The original music was awful. Very entertaining.
-
K
Truly awful movie. Writing this with ten minutes left because it’s almost unbearable. No joke lands, every conflict ends immediately, each character is equally unbelievable and annoying, and the Zimmer score is sooooooo goofy and terrible. We keep turning to each other and going, “Lion King-ass music”. This movie is ultimate proof that Tarantino can only write one voice (his own), so every character talks exactly the same. Also a pretty heavyhanded case of chekov’s unprotected sex. Edit now that we’re done: oh shit that’s bob duncan! and called it w the kid.
-
N
James Gandolfini is the goat bro, I miss him so much. Everyone does a great job but he was on a different level 232/365

Christian Slater plays Quentin Tarantino’s dream version of himself where everyone loves every story he tells and they all think he’s super cool, while Patricia Arquette plays manic pixie dream girl. It doesn’t matter though because I still love this movie. Brad Pitt makes me giggle every time he’s on screen. I forgot about the line, “Hey! Get some beer… and some cleaning products!” which my college roommate and I used to yell at each other all the time. Floyd is so thrilled whenever he knows an answer to any question. So helpful.

I don’t know how to feel about this one. I honestly was hoping for a lot more from a Tarantino story. It just felt, repetitive? Gary Oldman was the best part of the film, and I only got to see him for like 5 minutes. It’s just a giant goose chase with the facade of an all-star cast, until you realize they only get 5 minutes of the screen at most. I mean sure, Alabama and Clerence have a cute…
