toy story 3 has one of the greatest endings in essentially all of fiction, so i’m never not gonna be skeptical of yet another continuation in this franchise but… they really got me with this one guys. 4 never quite fully justified itself for me – just couldn’t jibe with woody’s arc and hated how shortchanged the rest of the ensemble was – but despite this still not surpassing any of the original trilogy (what could?), it comes a lot closer than i thought it would and manages to find a truly moving story worth telling and one that centers a character long overdue for time in the spotlight without letting others fall by the wayside. and speaking of said…

Tidak sekadar hubungan anak-anak dengan barang mainan. Cerita yang dituturkan selalu mencerminkan bagaimana cara move on dengan sesuatu yang pernah kita suka, baik kepada orang lain, hewan peliharaan, barang favorit dan sebagainya. Toy story 1 – 4 menawarkan semua itu. C’était attendrissant, pas mon préféré mais je le préfère largement au 4, cool qu’on aie fait un focus sur Jessie et sa peur de l’abandon, et le film est quand même hyper actuel de par les sujets qu’il propose comme l’IA, l’avancée de la technologie et ses conséquences. Toujours un plaisir de retrouver Woody et Buzz au cinéma mais faudrait à un moment penser à conclure la saga et passer à autre chose ? Le 3 et le 4 semblaient se diriger vers cette direction justement :/

Block out the noise about how this franchise “should’ve ended years ago.” There’s something so special about getting to grow up alongside these movies. Thank you, Pixar. No matter how many sequels you give us, this franchise will never lose its shine.

Such a phenomenal film and step up from the 4th film. I really liked all the jokes and wholesome moments and the once again unique and engaging plot. It was cool seeing more emotional and somewhat dark moments as well as more human to human interaction, something we don’t see as much in these films.

Felt like watching a good nu-Simpsons episode which is not great but I cared a bit about the story. Bullseye is still super cute. It’s just not a funny movie. The first three had so many iconic jokes while still keeping its sentimental side. This one tried reeeaally hard to move you and it did not feel earned one bit. The only memorable joke is from freaking Toy Story 2 … and they repeat the same one in an after credits scene… Not even gonna talk about the cast which is super bloated and none of the original characters get a second to shine.
