I’m so confused. Everyone kept referring to this Ricky Stanicky character… maybe it was just me, but I couldn’t see him anywhere on screen.

To preface this, since I act in the film and don’t want to be viewed as biased, this won’t be a review but more of a reflection of the best experience of my life and how it all came about and how much of an impact it had on me. Ever since I was a kid, I grew up loving Zac Efron as High School Musical, Hairspray, and 17 Again were on constant rotation in my house. High School Musical 3 was the first film I ever saw in cinemas in 2008 and as more of Zac’s movies were released in cinemas in subsequent years like 17 Again, we would go and see it multiple times. High School Musical 3…

He’s the best friend they never had. Men would rather make up fake friends and lie to their loved ones than go to therapy.

I laughed. I’m sorry. I did. John Cena’s filthy songs? I laughed. Cena going through horrific booze withdrawals because he’s too serious an actor to play a recovering alcoholic while drunk? I laughed at that too. The Beefsteak Charlie’s line? I laughed and I pumped my fist. Zac Efron physically intimidating Cena? Big laugh. The bris scene? I laughed a lot. Then the movie ended and I read the Wikipedia page and learned that even though the film is set in Providence they shot it in Melbourne, Australia, thus explaining why numerous small roles are filled by Australian actors — including the dude who played Rictus Erectus in Mad Max: Fury Road! — and I just sat alone in my house, laughing and laughing. (Again, I’m very sorry about this. If I pretended I didn’t laugh, I would be lying. And if Ricky Stanicky taught me anything [debatable], it’s that lying is wrong.)

Well, it took Peter Farrelly exactly two movies to go from winning Best Picture back to making broad comedies about dog boners; I guess some people never change. Of course, “Green Book” was only about two dog boners away from being as dumb — or dumber — than a Farrelly classic like “There’s Something About Mary” to begin with, but even so, the funniest thing about “Ricky Stanicky” might be how recently its director was holding an Oscar on the stage of the Dolby Theater. Actually, no: The funniest thing about “Ricky Stanicky” is the sight of John Cena dressed as Alice Cooper and singing “Sploooooooge out. My. Penis” to the tune of “School’s Out” (for summer), which is one…

Hilarious movie, haven’t laughed that good in a while. The ending felt too kind, it definetly should not have worked out like it did. Also it felt too long, everything after the halfway point coulda been tightened up.

i laughed a lot i really did. maybe it was the bottle of wine but i loved it. objectively this is a very mid comedy and it has its flaws but i had so much fun i don’t care. the withdrawal scene at the airport was fantastic. andrew santino, john cena, john cena as britney, king krule and marc rebillet-loved it.

amé a john cena y cómo pudo interpretar tan bien un personaje totalmente bizarro. la película es absurda y tonta, me hizo reir muchísimo. mi parte favorita es cuando el jefe reacciona a sus videos air-dicking

so so embarrassed to admit this got a real laugh out of me like at least 5 times. i think this would’ve worked way better as a thriller, the boys realising they accidentally created frankensteins monster of a character, they wish a man into existence and are horrified with the results as he takes over their life. instead what we get is a really cool concept trapped in endless sexual innuendos and heavy handed penis jokes (pun intended)

Very funny I thought.

Funny film. Always love watching John Cena on screen. Some of the scenes are just ridiculous but it’s a good laugh. Also had a good explanation behind Dean with his backstory. Though I wish they had gone into it a bit more but this is a comedy movie.
-
H
Hilarious movie. Definitely better on my first watch, but after a while it sometimes just gets boring. Still funny though.

It had some laughs. John Cena is always great. The main characters were kind the worst people in it? I appreciated how diverse the cast was but was never the butt of jokes; representation matters. The best part for me was Men I Trust being in it for 10 seconds. Weird having a movie that’s lowkey wholesome also be crammed with dick jokes.

John cena carrega o filme nas costas, mas caramba a mochila dele é mt pesada
-
P
This movie isnt very memorable, it seems like a comedy that either broke even or flopped. It was a meh comedy like funny but not necessarily entertaining.
-
R
Probably laughed way too hard at this
-
T
- Synopsis
- When three childhood best friends pull a prank gone wrong, they invent the imaginary Ricky Stanicky to get them out of trouble. Twenty years later, the trio still uses the nonexistent Ricky as a handy alibi for their immature behavior. But when their spouses and partners get suspicious and demand to finally meet the fabled Mr. Stanicky, the guilty trio decide to hire a washed-up actor and raunchy celebrity impersonator to bring him to life.
