took my 4-year-old to see this today — on 35mm, the flicker and clack of which at least added to the time-bending nature of bringing my own kid to a movie i saw in theaters when i was a teenager. he didn’t like when Woody was trapped in the office with Stinky Pete, he loudly went “UH OH!” when Zurg showed up on the elevator, and he said his favorite part was “the candy” (my favorite part is when they’re on the conveyer belts at the airport). a solid morning all around.

Le cité las palabras de Adrián Belda al terminar la serie: Ahora solo puedo leer. Dejo el audiovisual. Tocó darse Toy Story 2 para no acabar la noche con algo tan bajón. Dura serie es Saul, esa sexta temporada es fría.

This one has always been my favorite of the Toy Story movies. Its just as fun as the original with a bit more adventure added in. I think some of the comedy bits from the supporting characters really go to another level.

They really spread their wings with this one, sets and character wise. It’s nice to see how the franchise is progressing from the toys striving for Andy’s attention to enjoying the moment while it lasts. The voice actors putting in the extra work to create an actual BTS for an animated film was so hilarious and nicely done, I really enjoyed it. Now my siblings are howling at me for part 3, I’ll let this one marinate before hitting ’em with another dose! 😄

Better than 1. Animation took a step up, and conflict between character didn’t feel forced. The formula for both movies seems to be: getting lost, then finding a way back to Andy’s house while learning new lessons (in this one, it’s to appreciate and enjoy the present, because it’ll end one day). I can’t seem to find the enjoyment that I felt watching other Pixar movies like Cars and Up. The toys just don’t feel real enough to me. It’s still a pretty fun movie though and I don’t dislike it by any means. Just feels like an inoffensive movie

Exactement la même sensation que le premier Toy Story. Cette fois juste la gorge serrée, mais la même émotion de revoir les films que j’ai découvert tout petit en VHS autrefois, en DVD aujourd’hui. Les véritables premières réf à la pop culture, aux Star Wars et compagnie enfin assumés et tellement bien placées. Les gamins n’auront les réfs que bien plus tard !

In a training for my tour guide job, they used the Tour Guide Barbie clip as an example of what not to do. This film improves on the first in literally every way, and the bar was already so high. Also it’s amazing how much better the animation got in just 4 years.

Road to Toy Story 5, pt 2 Could be better than the first, can’t lie. Jessie and Bullseye are great additions to the OG squad as well, just makes it all the more fun. Love Buzz 2.0 and his new found father too. There’s actually some pretty good jokes in these films, I can see why kids and their parents come back to them again and again. Also, completely forgot about the bloopers at the end, what a throw back. Thoroughly enjoying the re-runs and gassed up for part 3! Let’s go!

A genuinely great follow up to the original Toy Story film. It’s a great story about Woody finding out he’s from a TV show with some more characters being introduced from Jessie, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete the eventual antagonist of the film. It’s a story about a toys worst nightmare being an eventual reality in the toys owner eventually outgrowing the toy itself. It’s a great film but not as good as the original film. 8/10

Simplesmente SENSACIONAL o legado que esse filme fez para a Pixar, acredito que essa é a melhor animação da história da Disney Pixar, quase foi apagada por um erro da produção porém continua sendo muito revolucionário. As cenas são absurdamente memoráveis e sentimentais, um sentimento de nostalgia que esse filme me traz da minha infância é incrível. A cena de restauração do Woody é relaxante, a cena do Buzz encontrando outros exemplares é muito boa, os personagens são muito carismáticos e demonstram o carinho que essa animação tinha, que filme lindo 🥹

The isle full of Buzz Lightyears and toy collections is so memorable and also philosophically interesting (I wish they did more with that). The chase at the end was an action scene I really felt. The animation is just a tad better than the first one, but enough that it has a somewhat modern feel for me. But it’s not so much better that it overshadows its predecessor.

Infinitely better than the first in so many ways in my opinion. The plot is so compelling and Jessie’s backstory is heartbreaking. The gang being split up makes for two really fun plotlines to follow. The side toys are hilarious and their escapades in the Toy Barn might be the best part of the movie. I’m so glad they took lessons from the first one and improved on it in every way. Perhaps the weakest part is Prospector Pete but…
