ok wow there is so much i love about this movie. some fav things: the shot of the black umbrellas in the rain on the cobbled street, the way tears looked falling down peoples face, lily rose depp contorting, pretty much anything lily did actually, shadow of the hand moving across the city, willem dafoe isaac newton name drop, the overall symmetry every time a door/ window opened, shot of nick walking down the pathway at night, aaron tj blood throw up on coffin moment, general sound of breathing throughout the movie, overall costume department slay, and so much more. i just really loved it and i’ll probs watch it another 2 times this month. go off robert eggers.

Some wonderful moments of cinema however I didn’t feel fully invested in this story. I’m not to familiar with the original text but the British accents in Germany?? Anyways, I loved Willem Dafoe of course, he definitely was a stand out performance

J’ai très peu aimé nosferatu pour la même raison, je pense, que j’ai adoré lighthouse and Northman. Robert eggers arrive PARFAITEMENT a realiser un film proche du matériau de base. Avec The northman il comprends tout les codes des récits nordiques et avec The lighthouse il fait la meilleure œuvre culturelle tirée des nouvelles de lovecraft. Je crois que j’aime juste pas du tout Dracula et l’univers qui entoure le roman.

Every scene seemed to have a different kind of fluid coming from some sort of orifice. As I’ve been on a Dracula binge, I somehow feel this is one of the tamer adaptations of that famous vampire story. Bram Stoker would be a tad disappointed I fear.

I’ve never seen a film that reflected the Gothic theme so well. Aside from a few weak scenes, I absolutely loved it, especially thanks to Professor von Franz, who was by far the best and most vibrant character in the film.

Ten film to definicja przerostu formy nad treścią i nieumiejętność zbudowania prawdziwej grozy, a bohaterowie to bezwymiarowe figury woskowe. Po “Witch” i “The Lighthouse” miałem bardzo wysokie oczekiwania od Nosferatu i utrzymanie jakości, a nawet wejście na wyżyny prac tego reżysera, niestety Eggers zawiódł na pełnej linii, bo po takich hitach wypuścił co najwyżej średniaka z którego się nadaje połowę contentu do wycięcia i przedstawienie tego jako ładne gotyckie widoczki na pinteresta.

Lo que más destaca para mi es la atmósfera. No la considero una película de terror, pero por momentos, la atmósfera está tan bien construida qué el impacto visual cumple perfectamente su cometido de comunicar qué lo que está frente a nosotros son demonios y escenas horrorosas. Las actuaciones, a mi ver, muy teatrales, lo que esperaría con una película que intenta reconstruir relatos tan antiguos. Me gustó, se toma su tiempo para envolver al espectador.
